Nando's Courtenay Place — Restaurant in Wellington

Went here for dinner with my boyfriend and we each had 2 niesh codes for 2 for 1 burgers and peri peri fries, the fries were with any purchase and it didn’t say anywhere on either coupon that they could not be redeemed on the same transaction. We were confused as to why we were then asked to make another purchase when even though we had a 2 for 1 code we still spent $11 each on one of the burgers from our coupons. We were informed it was because they couldn’t do 2 coupons on one transaction but people we know had done it only days previously with no problems and when they were served a manager had to come over and do it. We accepted this and purchased something else and as we sat down, behind the counter we could see the manager talking to other employees and looking over at us as if they were gossiping. My boyfriend went over once more to talk to the manager and try to explain his confusion and the manager showed no interest in keeping his customers happy and just kept talking over him and repeating himself. He then proceeded to do nothing to make sure we were having a good meal and to try redeem the fact that we were obviously very unhappy with the service we received. While we were annoyed at the extra purchase we had to make it was only a small purchase but what made us very disappointed with this experience was the managers obvious lack of care for us and our experience. The bowl I had was 95 percent rice with 9 peices of small chicken. I order extra hot and it was In my opinion a mild so coated it with the sauces that they provide there to up it. There were two staff members on board at the time that were carrying themselves around as though they were uninterested in anyone or anything. One being a male wearing a tank top I would think a team leader or manager answering the phone with an attitude and a lady who was serving the food to table.walking around with some sort of strut and coughing into her hand every 2nd minute. Food took 45 minutes and when we spotted our order at the counter waiting for her to pick up and bring to our table she seemingly managed to find every other insignificant job possible to avoid the counter. I went up to ask if the food was ours and was told it was and we ended up bring the first two plate to our own table before she "intervened" and brought the other two meals and a couple of sides to the table. At this point 2 of the sides were already basically cold. Just seemed extremely casual, and the team culture was more focused on talking about themselves than doing there actual jobs.

Probably same people be working there at 50 wondering to themselves where they went...

Well don't normally dine in Nando's Courtenay Place but dine there today 09/08 we went in and order nearly an hour later still waiting for our order was only one group of young people before us they got there order and ate there were about five or six more diners of group of people after us got there order ate and left we still waiting , my daughter got up and asked the lady who serve us first about our order and she was apologetic about the stuff up in the kitchen by that time my daughter had to go around the block to put more money in the parking meter by the time we finished with our meal is after three thirty,a half and hour dine end up with and hour an half really shocking wether is got to do with colour and so disgusting if it is because I'm Samoan and wether that's why by saying that it should not happened in New Zealand,I wonder if a different outcome if I walked in there with my New Zealander...
