THE WORST!!! (Don’t go there)

Something was rotten in my food and the manager refused to believe me!! Because I insisted, she fixed me a new plate (note: I had only taken a few bites but she served me only half the dish). It was again disgusting, and this time I realized it was the feta that was spoiled. I got my daughter to try it to make sure it wasn’t me: she spit it, said it was awful. I took the plate back to the manager who then got mad AT ME for not having identified the feta as the cause of the problem before. Like, I should’ve eaten things separately in my plate, not together! And the feta was sprinkled everywhere.

I was sick all afternoon, vomiting, my throat and stomach burning. Food POISONING. At least they accepted to give me my money back but this took some insisting, and it shouldn’t have.

The manager at North City Porirua was EXTREMELY RUDE. The rest of the staff kept eying me like I was lying, it was an awful experience. Although I’m going to North City mall every week, I won’t eat at the Coffee...

Hubby & I thought we would treat ourselves to breakfast. So we chose Coffee club north city for something different. Hubby ordered the big breakfast ($25) and i got the “giant fluffy pancake, with banana & bacon” ($22) what a mistake that was.

Hubby got his he was happy and ate away. I got mine - one round flat nan bread looking thing, some stripes of bacon, a whole banana cut in half and half again & an ocean of maple syrup 🤦🏽‍♀️ For $22 i got 4 different pieces of food - pancake, 3 stripes of bacon, 1 medium banana & maple syrup.

So from the get go i was dissapointed. I cut into the pancake and its not fluffy, the middle is thick & cold. I handed it back & asked for a big breakfast instead.

No apologies given from the chef as he bought out the replacement meal however the amazing barister (Anya) served us beautifully, made the most delicious coffee and apologised for the meal.

I was disappointed with the service and overall experience during my visit. The staff appeared disengaged, and the server who assisted us seemed uninterested, displaying a lack of enthusiasm. Upon looking around, it was apparent that the overall atmosphere was quite dull, with no signs of positivity from any of the staff.

When the food arrived, I found the eggs to be overcooked and rubbery, and the Hollandaise sauce, which I had requested on the side, was instead poured generously over the dish. The server mentioned that they had mistakenly added the sauce, but there was no offer for a replacement or any form of compensation. The staff simply walked away without addressing the issue further.

Given the quality of the food and service, I found the prices to be highly disproportionate to the experience. Unfortunately, this will be my first...
