I wished I had read the reviews before going here. When we arrived and asked for a table, the waitress said that there would be a 20min wait. Because there were quite a few empty tables, my partner asked, "why". They were busy with takeaway orders. We decided to stay anyway, but it felt like were an inconvenience. My partner placed our orders at the counter. Chicken Satay on rice for me and a pork noodle dish for my partner. When the waitress come to place our dishes, she had thought the satay dish was my partners. Later, I wondered it this was significant, since the rice on the satay dish turned out to be be very sweet. Why would you have a sweet rice with a satay dish? I know this sounds paranoid, but I did wonder if they had deliberately sweetened the rice, thinking it was my partners order, to get back at him for calling the waitress out at the beginning. IDK. I also tried a mouth full of my partners noodle dish and it was very bland. Aside from the food not being that appetizing, the bathroom had run out of hand soap and hand towels, and they also run out of serviettes on the counter, while we were there, which were not replaced. So, all in all, I would not recommend. which is a shame, because the menu was actually presented...

Ordered dish number 82 (first pic), but what we received looked like the dish in the second pic (photo taken after we started eating, but you get the idea). We were so confused that we had to double-check with the waitress, and we were absolutely shocked when she confirmed it was the correct order. It looked nothing like the menu image, and we genuinely thought they had given us the wrong dish.

The vegetables (third pic) were overcooked, and the sauce was far too heavy. The real disappointment came with the soup we ordered. We specifically came here because we wanted soup, but what we got was 95% noodles and only 5% actual soup. We had to remove most of the noodles just to reach the little bit of broth (seen in the fourth pic).

As for the service, we were served by two ✨wonderful✨ staff members. One seemed like they did not want to be there, and the other mentioned they were new and didn't understand basic terms like “jasmine rice” and “drinks.” They had to check with their supervisor multiple times. I completely understand that English might not be everyone’s first language (it isn’t mine either), but these are fundamental terms that should be understood when working in...

This place serves the usual Chinese- Euro fusion type food to cater for a largely eurocentric local clientele. They also cater for larger Chinese bus tour groups and make tasty large serves of more Asian meals. Value for money they make a $9 special lunch menu served from a Bain Marie cabinet, which has beef, chicken, stir fry with vegetables, and sweet/sour pork. This can be given the treatment of soy sauce and the beautiful home-made chilli paste. This makes a very tasty quick lunch and for a small additional cost a pot of hot jasmine tea. Easily the the best value lunch in town. The venue is clean and the service is attentive and helpful. They will cater for any reasonable request. Service from the extensive menu is quick. I will return for a quick, convenient and tasty...

Came in and saw 2 large tables of tourists waiting for their meals. We ordered food after them but got ours first. Ordered chicken noodle soup and supreme chicken satay rice. I must say the chicken in the noodles soup was so tough as a jerky! The soup base was very average. Ended up not eating much at all. Last photo of leftovers. As for supreme chicken satay, sliced chicken is not chewy and taste is ok. Overall not value for money and we won’t return again.

I regret not reading reviews before ordering. The attached pic is definitely not Thai fish curry and rice. And the food reeked of stale oil. Could not eat, waste of 22NZD.
