I wished I had read the reviews before going here. When we arrived and asked for a table, the waitress said that there would be a 20min wait. Because there were quite a few empty tables, my partner asked, "why". They were busy with takeaway orders. We decided to stay anyway, but it felt like were an inconvenience. My partner placed our orders at the counter. Chicken Satay on rice for me and a pork noodle dish for my partner. When the waitress come to place our dishes, she had thought the satay dish was my partners. Later, I wondered it this was significant, since the rice on the satay dish turned out to be be very sweet. Why would you have a sweet rice with a satay dish? I know this sounds paranoid, but I did wonder if they had deliberately sweetened the rice, thinking it was my partners order, to get back at him for calling the waitress out at the beginning. IDK. I also tried a mouth full of my partners noodle dish and it was very bland. Aside from the food not being that appetizing, the bathroom had run out of hand soap and hand towels, and they also run out of serviettes on the counter, while we were there, which were not replaced. So, all in all, I would not recommend. which is a shame, because the menu was actually presented...
Read moreOrdered dish number 82 (first pic), but what we received looked like the dish in the second pic (photo taken after we started eating, but you get the idea). We were so confused that we had to double-check with the waitress, and we were absolutely shocked when she confirmed it was the correct order. It looked nothing like the menu image, and we genuinely thought they had given us the wrong dish.
The vegetables (third pic) were overcooked, and the sauce was far too heavy. The real disappointment came with the soup we ordered. We specifically came here because we wanted soup, but what we got was 95% noodles and only 5% actual soup. We had to remove most of the noodles just to reach the little bit of broth (seen in the fourth pic).
As for the service, we were served by two ✨wonderful✨ staff members. One seemed like they did not want to be there, and the other mentioned they were new and didn't understand basic terms like “jasmine rice” and “drinks.” They had to check with their supervisor multiple times. I completely understand that English might not be everyone’s first language (it isn’t mine either), but these are fundamental terms that should be understood when working in...
