Restaurante Nativo — Restaurant in Managua

Short ribs are the best thing on the menu! I really enjoyed this restaurant, only problem that I see was the menu was very short, and had very limited items to eat. Nothing really caught my eye that was interesting. It did take 40 minutes to get our food, and it was lunchtime with only one other table in the whole restaurant. It may have been because they were shortstaffed during a slow time so I didn’t deduct for that. Like a few other people said it was expensive, I do not find it to be expensive for the quality of the food. The food was high standard and amazing. I did have one big problem though, I ordered the Jumbo shrimp plate. It tasted amazing, but the shrimp was not fresh and had a foul smell. This is very common in Nicaragua, it’s very hard to keep fresh Jumbo shrimp around if you are slow. This place needs to do more advertising, as it is a brand new place. The cocktails were amazing, and definitely worth the price. We ordered one with a volcano rock in it, and it was great. I will come back again and try the shrimp plate again, and if it is fresh, I will raise the review...

I don’t usually write negative reviews, but our experience here was just unacceptable. From the moment we arrived, it felt like we were an inconvenience to the staff. There was no warm welcome — just a cold, rushed seating.

Our waiter, Eduardo, barely acknowledged us and seemed like he didn’t want to be there at all. The service was painfully slow, and to make matters worse, our appetizer came after the main course. That alone showed a complete lack of coordination.

Eduardo never checked on us during the meal, and once we finished, he didn’t even bother to offer dessert or coffee. It honestly felt like they wanted us gone as soon as we walked in.

With food delays, poor service, and zero hospitality, this was a frustrating and disappointing night out. Definitely...

BEST meal of our whole trip to Nicaragua!

So, I am a foodie and I am very picky and this was the #1 best meal we had in our 7 day trip to Nica (we ate all of our meals at restaurants)

The octopus was cooked to perfection - like I had not had one liike this in soooooo long. The short ribs (chef's kiss)

Cannot wait to go back and try the chef's tasting menu.

The chef came to talk to us, super nice guy. All the staff was super attentive and very very kind.

We even got some churros for dessert and they were the most delicious churros we have ever had.
