A Disappointing Experience. I visited the restaurant yesterday, eager to try their much-talked-about dishes. I decided to go with the Shish Tawook Plate, accompanied by a side of Mashed Potato and a Tabbouleh Salad.
Shish Tawook was a major letdown. Huge disappointment. First off, there was absolutely no sign of the signature grilling marks or char that you typically expect from a properly prepared shish. The chicken looked like it had been cooked in some other way, completely lacking the smoky, charred flavor that makes grilled chicken. There was a "Zafara" unpleasant taste.
