It wasn’t great, customer service was not it. I order a meal La tarvena chicken and it was raw on the inside. So I came again and ordered same meal after a while it was described to have spicy potatoes, they gave me fried chips, and no herbed hummus as the meal said, I complained and the head chef sat on the side initially while the manger came and argued with me that there was no hummus in the meal till we brought the menu and they saw it and offered to fix it, I declined but they insisted and brought the meal back and it was cold, after I complained again and said I didn’t want it again, they insisted on fixing it and giving me a complimentary, my friend agreed despite my reservations and they came back with with a sandwich, and the original meal I ordered which was a quarter chicken was missing. They claimed they had trashed it because according to them “I didn’t want it” and I needed to pay for it because they gave me a complimentary. Now guys know this I didn’t leave with the main dish ( la tarvena chicken) neither did I leave with the complimentary but they made sure I paid for it. Horrible customer service if you ask me. Mistakes are inevitable, but when both the head chef and the manager can’t do...

La Taverna offers a range of Spanish cuisine but what I particularly like about this place is their excellent food deals on specific days such as the Taco Tuesday, Pizza Wednesday and Pasta Thursday. They also have Chef Specials available everyday.

I stopped by Pasta Thursday which is ₦6000 for any pasta dish with a glass of wine or sangria. I had the Rigatoni Beef and Mushroom while my friend had the Lamb Ravioli. The rigatoni was absolutely delicious and featured a pasta cooked in a Coconut cream based sauce with chilli flakes and topped with chunks of beef and mushroom. The Lamb Ravioli had a smaller portion size and wasn't as tasty as the rigatoni but it was still a solo dish.

We opted for a glass of sangria and a bottle of Frontera Wine. The Sangria was quite disappointing because it was just wine with a bit of fruit. It didn't have any citrus flavours and juices you'd expect in a sangria.

In terms of service, it was just quite good. We were given hot towels to clean our hands before dining. We also got complimentary starter which was bread and salsa. I wish the bread were toasted. Our waitress was quite helpful and...

The waitress who served us was pretty nice and helped give us nice recommendations. We went on a Tuesday so we had their "Taco Tuesday" offering. However, I'd say the food especially the pasta was mid for the price. I had Spaghetti Alfredo for 7,500 and I really expected better in terms of size and taste. Another strange thing is that the menu says that VAT and service charge are inclusive in the price. Now except I don't know English or the person who wrote it doesn't, I'm not sure why our bill still had VAT and service charge additions. Then, the waitress inputted something extra on the bill and instead of going back to reprint, deducted it on the spot and gave a story about how she can't reprint a bill. I didn't get that. Also, the drinks were good. I had a nonalcoholic strawberry daiquiri and my partner had orange juice. So,...
