The Terrace is an open-space restaurant/lounge in Lekki, owned by the same people behind The House. With that in mind, I went in with good expectations, and for the most part, they delivered.
I loved the vibe—breezy, relaxed, and effortlessly cool. Being an open-space setup, it naturally had a chill atmosphere, making it a great spot to unwind. They also have board and card games for guests to pass the time while waiting for food, which I thought was a nice touch. Plus, we were welcomed with groundnuts on arrival—small but thoughtful.
As a self-proclaimed Pornstar Martini enthusiast on a mission to find the best in Lagos, I obviously had to try theirs. It was top-notch—perfectly balanced and smooth. But here’s where I got confused: it was garnished with dried orange instead of passion fruit, plus their menu lists Pornstar Martini and Passion Fruit Martini as two different drinks. So… have I been wrong all my drinking life? Isn’t passion fruit the key ingredient in a Pornstar Martini? Someone educate me, please!
I also asked the waiter for their most ordered cocktail, and he suggested the Tiki Garden—I got the tequila-based version, and it was really good, with great presentation. My date went for the Star Boy, also on the waiter’s recommendation, and it not only tasted great but looked super cute too.
For starters, we had the Spicy Turkey Tacos (set of four), and I loved them! Bold flavors, great spice, no complaints.
For my main, I had the Slow Roasted Ram with Smoky Jollof Rice, and let me tell you—the ram was WELL roasted. Tender, juicy, and literally melting in my mouth. And that jollof? Absolute banger. The smokiness, the texture—everything was divine.
Now, as much as I enjoyed the experience, there were a few downsides. • Flies, Flies, Flies. Since it’s an open-air space, there were quite a lot of them, and the bug catcher didn’t seem to be doing its job. We spent a good part of the meal swatting them away, which wasn’t fun. • The Music Volume. A little too loud for my liking—I would’ve preferred something more mellow to match the laid-back setting.
One thing I really appreciated was the intentionality in small details—like the restroom being stocked with feminine supplies. Little touches like that make a difference.
Pricing was reasonable: • Cocktails: ₦9,000 - ₦10,000 • Spicy Turkey Tacos: ₦15,000 (a bit pricey, but maybe because it’s turkey) • Jollof Rice: ₦8,000 • Slow Roasted Ram: ₦14,500
Overall, I had a great time! The open-air setting, solid food, and good cocktails make it a spot I’d return to. Just be prepared for some fly-swatting action. Oh, and parking is limited since it’s in a fully residential area, so keep that in mind.

Read moreI had a great experience at the Terrace this past weekend.
I was there for Jollofication by World Jollof Day and World Plantain Day (Dodo Gang) and it was a special occasion so there was a special event menu themed around plantain and jollof.
I first ordered the Kelewele which came out promptly. My only complaint was that they forgot to put the Rodo Sauce on the side when they first served and had to get it from the kitchen. The Kelewele was sweet and spicy and the sauce added a good kick.
I also shared the Jollof Plantain Tacos with a friend and had one taco to myself. It was definitely an interesting experience with the jollof rice, plantain, and goat meat, but the combination was delicious.
For drinks I had the Ginger Beer, orange juice, and apple juice, which were all good.
The ambience of the location was nice. The actual restaurant is located towards the rear of the property, so it was a little confusing when I first walked into the compound, but once I found my way it was fine.
The service was good. There's a good number of staff on hand to cater to your needs and the security were also accommodating.
Overall, I would recommend The Terrace and I look forward to...
Read moreService was amazing on a rainy saturday afternoon. We were one of two guests in the space and the waiter was super attentive. Even had a selection of table games for us to choose from as we waited for our food. The food tasted great but the selection was all over the place. Mixed grills, naan bread, tacos, thai curry, salsa, korean wings, bole lol. And the portions were way too small given the price point. even charged 1K for pepper sauce. You would have to order a lot of food to get full and we ordered a ton for three people and still felt hungry afterwards. The space and atmosphere was super chill but not like super bougie so the portions/pricing was just confusing. Would recommend the korean bbq wings and seasonal vegetables. also did the mixed seafood grill but should have just done the grilled jumbo prawns since the calamari was over cooked and the crab was empty. Bole was fine, fries was so little but good. Watermelon...
