Raw fish in Nigeria!! The food was delicious: the fish (both of raw and cooked form) was fresh and accompanied with interesting ingredients and flavours to create sushi pieces that of course deviate a bit from “traditional” Japanese sushi but are fun and modern for the international tongue and of course, tasty. The menu is absolutely huge (almost too huge) giving you plenty to choose from, even if you’re apprehensive of the idea of raw fish. The standout item we had was the Shiitake Rock Shrimp starter, and I’d also recommend anything with crab on it. They do crab very well.
I do not live in Lagos so cannot speak on the pride relative to other restaurants - especially following the astronomical inflation over the past couple years - however we spent N92k between 4 people and we ate WELL. They do also give complimentary nuts and bread.
The space is nice and chilled out, nothing too pretentious. It is air conditioned and has many tv screens showing live sports. The place is also very clean and the waiters promptly come to clean up your table as you’re eating.
I can’t think of anything to complain about the place except a general point of gripe I have with most Lagos restaurants serving foreign cuisines: the ownership is not Nigerian. Fortunately at least the waiters are and they are all lovely. The lady in particular who served us was friendly and chatty yet still professional.
Would definitely recommend this place for sushi that is not “good for Nigeria”, but is absolutely good at even an international standard. This place is better than sushi places I’ve been...
Read moreIt's way prettier than the photos and a great place to eat out. I had lunch one day and dinner another day and loved the food both days.
I tried the miso soup with silken tofu and seaweed. That was a GORGEOUS bowl of soup with complex flavours that weren't overpowering at all. The sushi was lovely and the sangria delicious and strong, just the way it should be.
On my 2nd visit I had the maple Wasabi wings whoch made me very happy but I think that Wasabi is a hard flavour to translate and the maple/other seasoning may have subdued it. We tried the bone marrow bruschetta and it was heavenly! The dish I really loved was the wagyu burger!! Listen - the bun was perfect, the patty was insane and dissolved in my mouth and the dressing was perfect. The only thing I'd change was the cheese - it looked and tasted out of place. Loved the simplicity of the burger and it delivered on flavour!
Service was professional and very helpful. Please consider house wine that is better quality than Castillo. Also please consider providing proper chopsticks rather than the take out ones for dine in clients.
I already want to come back. Definitely recommend if you want great food and cocktails that don't cost an arm and a leg!
Ah yes. Parking at the mall will put your driving skills to...
Read moreDear Sushiholics Team,
I am writing to express my deep disappointment with a recent order I placed for my family on 11th May 2025. Among the items ordered was the Chicken Yakitori, which cost nearly ₦30,000. Unfortunately, the dish arrived burnt, blackened, overcooked, and extremely chewy — completely inedible and far from the quality expected at that price point.
What made the situation worse was the lack of any apology, acknowledgment, or offer of compensation from your team. This shows a complete disregard for customer satisfaction and quality control.
Given this experience, I am now concerned about the safety and freshness of the other items on your menu. This was not just a poor meal — it was a total letdown, and I would strongly advise others to avoid this item until your kitchen standards improve.
I hope this message encourages your team to take better responsibility for quality assurance and customer service going forward. I expect a response and appropriate compensation for the poor service and...
