Delightful Dining Experience with a Suggestion for Improvement

Review:

Our recent visit to the Indian restaurant Leela was a truly enjoyable experience. The ambiance was authentic and inviting, and the staff provided exceptional service that made us feel welcomed and valued. The flavors of the dishes were rich and aromatic, capturing the essence of traditional Indian cuisine.

However, I would like to offer a constructive comment regarding the Grill Mix featured on the menu. When diners order a mixed grill, they generally anticipate a variety of meats in equal quantities. Unfortunately, this was not the case during our visit. We were served six pieces of chicken, only one shrimp, and a single little piece of lamb. This distribution did not meet our expectations as it was neither balanced nor reflective of the diversity promised by a mixed grill. For future diners and to maintain the integrity of your menu, I would recommend that the restaurant ensures an equal number of pieces for each type of meat in the Grill Mix. Doing so would align with the honesty and accuracy that customers expect when they choose an item from the menu.

In conclusion, while we were satisfied with the overall dining experience, this aspect of the meal did leave room for improvement. I trust that this feedback will be taken into consideration, as it could enhance the dining experience for all guests who appreciate the variety and fairness in a mixed grill...

Family of 6 We ordered beer and appetizers Beer came quick They don’t carry Hansa (Hah!???)

Appetizers took more than 25mins

Main course was about 45mins My parents were getting frustrated And that means my meal is stressed My children were hungry Means my meal is disturbed

Food is stupidly expensive So I expected them to have good portion size

The portions are really really really tiny They are not worth the money Absolutely not worth the money you spend

THIS PLACE IS NOT! Value for Money

Please avoid In Oslo In any other Indian restaurant in Norway, Or even Bergen Better portion size for the price they charge

Here the raita was in a small sugar bowl WHAT A SCAM!

The rice was Luke warm not steaming The first round of butter chicken was not even warm, the 2nd order was better

(I wonder if the cook is using pre-packaged meals from India?)

My mom ordered vegetarian food from the menu and it was cold and one order didn’t even show up (maybe they went out of stock of potato’s?)

I own restaurants I know how this system works And I see through them, this place is a scam!

You are a fraud! The owner is a fraud

Your Leela restaurant is a tourist trap!

If you are Indian avoid this place

They will cheat you And leave you disappointed Thoroughly disappointed

If you are not Indian This is NOT fine dining But you will pay for fine dining/pax

The food was great, but the service was terrible. When we arrived at the restaurant, the waiter just glanced at us briefly and then ignored us. Only after a few minutes he came to us and seated us at a table. There wasn’t a trace of friendliness. When we weren’t ready to order yet, he was visibly annoyed. Once everything was ordered, the appetizer arrived, and not even a minute later, the main course was already on the table.

Our group ordered 2x Chicken Tikka Masala and 1x Butter Chicken. However, what was served was 2x Butter Chicken and 1x Chicken Tikka Masala. While this isn’t a big deal —mistakes can happen. When we politely pointed it out, the waiter made it clear that we certainly hadn’t ordered 2x Chicken Tikka Masala. He reluctantly took one of the Butter Chicken dishes back. A short while later, a new plate arrived with exactly the same dish as before. It tasted identical to the other Butter Chicken. An absolute disgrace.

The food itself was indeed delicious, but there was no sign of friendliness. Unfortunately, the Desi Fresh Salad we ordered on the side didn’t contain what was listed on the menu. There were no tomatoes, but instead beetroot and radishes. For four people, only one small bowl of rice was initially brought out. When we asked for more, we received a second small bowl.
