Indian Garden — Restaurant in Kristiansand

I am on a business trip in Kristiansand together with two Indian colleagues. We tried Mother India and the food is ok but not that brilliant. We decided to try something else and one colleague found this Indian Garden. It was snowing and windy and we walked quite a long time. When we arrived, the restaurant doesn't look as fancy as Mother India. I was a bit suspicious. The guy recieving us was very nice and hospital. We ordered three dishes and two nam bread. When we got the food, all of us were really overwhelmed. I have to say this is the best Indian food I have ever eaten in Norway. Even my Indian colleagues mean that the food can be compared with the food in India. Especially the butter chicken is really gorgeous 😋. Quite a small restaurant with a limited amount of tables and nice service. As for food - good Indian food with a different spicy levels (just ask about levels when order).

I had a feeling that I'm just in a typical restautant, nothing really said it's Indian restautant - would say maybe more colors and national details and majority of other places can add an atmosphere - India usually is so colorful and I had lack of that surrounding in this place.

We stopped in Kristiansand for one night on our way back from our roadtrip through the Nordics and were looking for something to eat for dinner. This restaurant came out as highly rated so without checking the reviews we just went and tried. And it turned to be one of the best Indian restaurants we ever tried!!! Not to mention that we ate Indian cuisine across the world. The food at this place is absolutely delicious but it is the owner and the incredibly nice staff who made this an unforgettable experience.
