Egon — Restaurant in Oslo

First of all we ordered using the QR code, no problem, 3 of us had a starter and main, but be aware as I clearly missed the part that said unless you tick a box (which I never saw and was not obvious) to say you want the starter first then the main it all comes up together! So ours all arrived together and I was worried my fish and chips would get cold so I decided to eat that first and have the starter after, as I guess you can eat Egons sharing tower cold! However we all tried our fries and all were cold, along with my fish, which was greasy, wet and tasteless! The mushy peas were also horrible, a big let down! The waitress was rude and actually turned her back when I pointed out my fish was not good and said to me " what do you want me to do"? I asked her to take my food back to the chef. Another member of staff came over and told me I was the first person to complain, I told him I didn't care if I was the first, my food wasn't edible. Then another employer came over , not sure who as they didn't introduce themselves. I explained again my displeasure at the food served and I was then given my money for the fish and chips back. Only the ultimate burger was edible, the chicken burger was also left as it was tasteless and not at all appetising. The cheese in the tacos was congealed ( although the staff member tried to tell me that it was because it was American cheese, I pointed out to him that American cheese wasn't congealed, maybe rubbery but not congealed! Visited with my wife since we got offered cards to try egons new brunch menu, we have visited before the restaurant and we have been very satisfied, unfortunately this time we felt like we were treated differently we don’t want to believe it was because we had the free try of brunch cards, that wouldn’t been to kind. The woman that seated us was front the first moment with attitude and we got seated we asked help how the process goes and she already seemed frustrated and just told us you must come and choose to the order point, but we just needed help regarding menu dishes then it felt like she almost rolled her eyes and came and just told us the same think we just need to come and order, we felt like she wasn’t willing to help us at all and that we’re just not welcome in a way. Not so costumer service oriented woman in counter, would recommend she treats all client in same way also help when comstumers need help specially when ordering food. Food...

Second time eating at Egon.

First the time burger was dry in the middle.

Second time today, we ordered both vegan dishes to share and specified that since we asked for an extra bowl to split the food. And we got two of the same Asian noodles. They gave us the second bowl for free and got us the correct order which is nice.

The food was ok. The quality of the ingredients and flavor was ok. The noodles dish was very plain. Just some peas, carrots and noodles in a sauce. Could have had more Asian ingredients and flavors if it is going to be called an Asian dish. The vegan bowl was more interesting.

The service was nice, great that we got the correct order after all without extra charge for the wrong order or anything. Just, not a place I would visit again...
