Where has this place been since we've visited!?!? This is norway'a savior for expensive food and beer because I would actually pay the real converted money to be here.

We ordered: lamb stew. Real chunks of delicious rumpy pieces of lamb in creme fresh. So much noms. fish and chips. Solid solid deliciousness. I'd say the tar tar sauce is what got me with the scallion flavor boosting everything over the boat hot dog. Got the spicy lamb from the bartenders suggestion and it was incredible. Wrapped in bacon with some leaves and radish slices. The only thing was that the casing was so crunchy, it was hard to rip with my teeth and would up all over my chin. Worth it. beer. Anything suggested is fantastic. The bartender will let you try it out before committing and he seems to have great taste overall. brownie. After all that, we needed to polish it off with a very creamy nutty brownie. Yum.

Overall, I am glad this place exists and was suggested by nytimes. I would come here once while landing and once before leaving just to see the vast difference between food and prices. Dodge the other bar food and just come here.

It even looks the way you want it to look... Ceramic tiles and wooden tables with stools. Chalkboards with hand written specials and checks for...

Grunneløkka Brygghus is a charming little restaurant/bar boasting a quaint beer wall. The food was exquisite, especially the fish and chips, which was truly outstanding. Each bite of fish melted in my mouth like the polar ice caps in the North Pole. The fries were delightfully light, that it could even earn Gordon Ramsey's approval. Accompanied by a fantastic tartar sauce and a small bowl of puréed green peas, it was the icing on the cake, so to speak. The ambiance was fantastic, with board games available for all and a delightful mix of languages filling the air. The cheerful server promptly delivered the food, and it was served at the perfect temperature. I must mention, however, that the view left much to be desired, as we had to observe the less desirable crowd patronizing the McDonald's across the street. Despite this minor inconvenience, it was an overall...

One of my favourite places in town. Very nice to sit outside and have a beer during the summer, but also very atmospheric inside for the days when that's not possible.

The beer selection is excellent with mostly beers they have brewed themselves on tap, but also good guest beers and collaborations. I especially love that they often have alternatives to the typical IPA and NEIPA beers, like a brown ale or a bitter. The pilsner and dunkel that they make is also brilliant.

The food is good, typical pub fare with burgers, fish and chips, fried chicken etc. The quality is absolutely fair considering the price. My date was very happy with the chitake mushroom vegetarian burger as well.

All in all it's a very nice spot to go if you like beer and laid back...

A cozy brewery with quite good selection of beers. You can try a 4-piece taster set with big glasses compared to taster sets I had in other places. If you order sweet potato frites, you're gonna get the biggest plate of fries in your life maybe. There are enough frites for at least 2 people maybe 3. Atmosphere inside is relax, looks like a nice place for a date or catch up with a group of friends. Staff is nice, I told them what sort of beers I like the most and they created me a set of taster, I liked them all!!

Great IPAs. The fried sweet potatoes were also super tasty. Not that expensive for Oslo, but as everything here, it's not exactly affordable. Visited on Friday evening, not exactly quiet but not a mess at all. Would come back if it weren't for the prices in this city which make it more interesting to try the most places you can just once in your life... BTW, the sign on the front is broken.

Show me a more vibrant part of Oslo than Grünerløkka. Been coming here since the late 90s and it has undergone quite a bit of change for sure. Never tried the local brewpub before. Beers not too shabby and the fish and chips did the job it was hired to do. If anything the seasoning on the chips could be used to eradicate all snails on planet Earth. 🤷🏼
