Considered by many to be Oslo’s best Bakery Godt Brød has six locations across the capitol, but for those desiring the freshest Pastries and Rolls the best bet is to visit either the Bislett or Grünerløkka location where everything is made on-site daily.

All Organic from Grains to dairy with an expansive Cafe divided across two distinct areas it is from friendly staff that orders are fulfilled, complimentary water and serviceware found at a station at the center with free Wi-Fi and comfortable seating throughout.

Offering Sandwiches, Salads and more since 1995, though most early risers will be found matching Coffee to a pillowy Kanelbolle, fans of Cream Cheese Danishes will not be disappointed by SommerBolle with or without Fruit while the Brownie is toothsome and rich thanks to three types...

Great selection of bakeries with spacious sitting area inside and with available side-alley outside, perfectly located and exposed to the sun almost all day during summer. Among their selections of sweet buns, the "Mandelbolle" is my favorite. They have a huge variety of bread which can be seen behind their counter and are baked fresh every morning. Also tried their custom sandwiches which are made on the spot and was surprised about how good/tasty their veggie sandwich was. Usually crowded during the weekends and would say the staff could be somewhat more happy when greeting their customers, or at least make an attempt to smile...

Visited a couple of times, firstly looking for a coffee, though I also bought a loaf of delicious walnut bread from the great range of breads they have (although unfortunately no rye leaves). Service was great - even to the point of asking how much hot water I wanted added to my americano. .....second time, not so good, ordered and paid for a herbal tea that turned out not to exist once I'd collected the hot water and tried to find the teabags, also no choice on the hot water added to the americano - let down - so many great coffee shops in Oslo, the small things make all...

The 6 short months I had the pleasure of living in Oslo, this was my favorite cafe. It's cozy inside and light and bright for those days of rain and cold, and they also have a charming outdoor brick lined courtyard that shouldn't be missed on those sunny days. The staff is friendly and speaks English very well if you don't speak Norwegian. It gets very busy at lunchtime, but the sandwiches are worth the wait and you can't go wrong with any of the delicious pastries. They also have a rewards card if you'll be in town a while.
