Chair — Restaurant in Oslo

The bar is nice, and the drinks were beautifully made, but when going out I appreciate the service more than anything and that was awful. The bar closing hour is 3:30, but on Saturday 06/07 they decided there wasn’t enough people to keep the bar open (about 10 patrons on a rainy Saturday night) and the security guard kicked us out at 2 am. I had just bought a gin and tonic and was not told that they’ll be closing when I ordered. (When I say I just ordered I mean it) The security guard approached the table 4 times in 10 minutes, and demanded we finish our drinks and leave, as they were closed already. We explained to him that we had just ordered and wanted to enjoy our drinks and we would leave afterwards. He was not polite nor understanding at all and the situation got so tense we decided to leave right away. The girl on the table next to us was shocked. Another patron chunked an almost full beer standing before leaving. This is not acceptable at all. I understand that you cannot keep the bar open if it is not profitable, but you should definitely be telling your patrons you’re closing if they are ordering drinks 10 min before you do, specially if you’re expecting people to leave straightaway. Please reconsider who you hire to be your security guard, as this guy seems to be eager on creating more trouble than solving it. I’m sorry but I’ll not go...

The Chair welcomed us and gave us such an amazing experience once again! We live in Oslo and usually coming for a drink after work once in a while with friends or colleagues! The location-staff-gins and atmosphere are totally beyond your casual expectations! The stuff, especially the bartender who always personally say ‘hi’, taking a small talk & ‘bye’, hosts everyone as we are the biggest vip ever! That is an example of super proffessional service and of course knowledge and confidence about the drinks 🍸 they are making!...
