Tonkotsu ramen, which supposed to be white and creamy from cooking pig bones for very long hours is heavily covered with miso which isn't supposed to be there if it was indeed "Tonkotsu" ramen. it should instead be called "Miso-Tonkotsu". And there was no explanation that there is miso in there. not to mention it does not make any sense to use miso to cover all creaminess. I just suspect that they use miso just to cover that they can't make proper tonkotsu broth. noodles were either from frozen or just heavily over-cooked. It fell apart like my soul after tasting it. way too sweet memma. way too dry shashu pork
edit : as the reply claim that I never mentioned noodles or meat in the conversation we had, we havn't even gotten over the broth discussion yet and they basically ignored me so here I am reviewing.
you CAN'T just say "it is our recipe" when you use the name for something that's meant to be a certain thing! Like I said in the conversation that you didn't read, you cant add tomato sauce in carbonara and call it carbonara and say it's your recipe.
Also it’s white from collagen from the bone turning in gelatin with high temperature then turned white when mixed with marrow from the bone itself. You don’t need to add more fat to that.
Maybe you should at least google it before trying to make it?
from seeing the old comments, they are all saying the same thing over the years, yet you never improved.

Read moreTerrible, to be honest, judging from our last visit. This is twice I've been recommended this place, and for one that's located in Oslo's "Greenwich Village", I am kind of shocked they get by with the quality of ramen soup I was served. I must hope they were short of cooking staff that day, because from first glance at the Banh Canh I got for my 229,- (not cheap by local standards), it was clear I was in for a disappointment. And it was as I expected. The dish was described in the menu as a thick rice noodle soup with shrimp balls and greens, pork and pork ham(!). In the plate of lukewarm broth that tasted like any other of the bland variety, albeit with slices of (equally bland) pork, I counted two slices of carrot and one slice of radish, two coiled sad and bored shrimps, a pinch of bean sprouts and a symbolic amount of coriander. Frankly I believe I could do better at home using just the photo of the plate as it appeared on the site, for reference. If you're adventurous and have the money to waste, by all means -- considering my previous time there which wasn't as noteworthily bad, granted I neither recall what I had (so couldn't have been all that great either)...
Read moreWalked in here starving, worried hunger would cloud our judgement. Ambiance was nice, seated quickly despite being fairly busy, and got down to ordering. Was able to order from both Monsun Noodle Bar and Ba-ga which was nice. Sushi was fresh, crunchy calamari and ribs were tasty but portions a little stingy. Ribs were going for q char-sui flavor but a bit too sweet. Spicy ramen was a bit over packed with noodles and could have had some more chicken and veggies. Not sure if it was a real broth vs instamix but was acceptably tasty.
Onto desert with anticipation- Macha Fried Banana and the Sticky black rice with bananas mangoes and coconut milk. Macha Banana was tasty but sadly the sticky rice bombed! Mangoes were terribly out of season sour and questionably fresh, coconut cream should have been hot and little more flavored.
Grinding house music in the background became progressively annoying as time passed. Ambient chilled sounds would have been better suited for a place like this. Not even commenting on price as any half decent place is expensive in Oslo.
Good place overall. Nice service and happy it’s in the hood....
