This place was an institution - one of the few places were you could get Halal meat. And the food quality has always been high. There used to be two branches one in Grønland the OG and the one on Trondheimsveien. But now I think that the Grønland branch has been sold off. My only complaint is the prices. One of the absolute greats in Oslo and my favorite restaurant in town. Amazing flavor and great prices. Same masterful dining for many years. The lentil soup is great as a starter. Main courses are varied, but I personally prefer the lamb chops, mix grill or the biff / kylling emense. The complementary bread used to be better, but it is free and definitely not the focus of your meal. I was here with 3 friends and we ordered different dishes. Everybody was satisfied with the food. I had shish kebab a d it was tender and juicy. We had tea and baklava for dessert and was tastey. There is mosque in this restaurant! And they do not serve beer. So if you really like to have a beer with your meal then choose another place. The staff are polite and helpsom. Prices are reasonable.
