We went here specifically for their reindeer meat and we were definitely happy with that decision. Though on the expensive side but reindeer grilled meat is priced almost the same throughout the city of Oslo & since it is exotic it is expensive. We ordered from the second pasti section the dish is called Renna - Grilled reindeer served with pearl potatoes, seasonal vegetables, lingonberry jam and brown cheese sauce. We ordered it for the meat and the brown cheese sauce. The meat tasted just like beef - it was a rare cut and i would have liked this meat given on hot stones to grill it myself as i believe a little towards well done may have brought some uniqueness to the flavour with a crunchy layer. Nonetheless the dish is highly recommended. Location is bang on right there in the middle of Sentrum.

I ran into this place by coincidence during my business trip to Oslo. The atmosphere and the vibes were really impressive and I really enjoyed the concept of turning a cathedral into a restaurant. I ordered Pasta Pesto which was OK but also pricey (265 NOK) - in addition, I also ordered a glass of Pinot Grigio for 120 NOK and draft beer for 129 NOK. I particularly enjoyed the service by Jetmir who was very attentive to everyone on the floor and ensured that I had a good time - he really deserves a pay raise! 😊 We also had a nice chat in the end this is definitely a place I would return to particularly for the service.

I suppose it really depends what you are looking for. But my opinion is it's over priced catering for tourists who know no better mostly. I should have known when I saw a board outside proclaiming they had their famous fish soup and Norwegian cake! My starter of a Norwegian Salmon wrap was not very good at all. I felt I could have had better at a 7-11. However after having the Fish soup and Cake I will admit its pretty good. And service was also pleasant and friendly. Only three stars though because I still think it's a pretty average touristy restaurant with prices that for what you get I feel are a little steep and based on the Salmon wrap the quality seems hit and miss.

Nice place to sit and have a glass of good wine and some proper Norvegian meat. We were a party of 3 comming from countries where dinning with a good glass of wine is very important part of the life. We wanted some local specialities so we started with smoked salmon and a glass of good wine (Italian). Followed by Moose Stew and Reindeer steak. Both dishes were really tasty despite they did not differ much from regular european deer or elk. Food was good, service a bit less. Very polite and friendly yet a bit clumsy but still trying to do everything to make our dinner experience positive. Recommended!

We chose this place because of the high rating but the food is nothing but meh. We ordered the Reindeer pasta (which was highly rated) and fish soup. The reindeer meat is overcooked, but pasta was ok. Fish soup was not great as the salmon was fried and placed in, so it’s pretty oily. It also had too much of cream which made it had to finish. Bread was mediocre. In short, tourist trap. I regret paying a hefty food for such average food while turning the corner you have a way affordable grill store which sells similar food.

Beautiful Cathedral with shops and eateries inside. We went to the Cafe Cathedral and it was beautiful with excellent and attentive service. We had the fish soup and it was the best we have ever had. We also had a moccachino and that was perfectly prepared and tasted wonderful. I highly recommend this restaurant. It is upscale and more costly than most but beautiful and a wonderful place for a meal.
