First and foremost, look at the picture I've attached. No, that's not whisky or a cocktail. That's my "cider". It cost 145 NOK ($14 USD) and more than half that glass was ice. So, that was easily less than 15 cL of actual cider. The rest was ice. I asked our waiter if this was a normal beer glass, clearly upset. She told me no, and showed me the normal beer glass (40 cL) that I saw on everyone else's table that ordered a beer. Also, obviously no one's beer glass was half filled with ice. I assumed a cider would have come in the same or similar size. Our waitress didn't seem to understand why we were upset. Really? My wife unfortunately also ordered this drink and was also upset. She was so upset she went to ask the bartender if this is normally how this drink is served, and the bartender also said yes. The bartender said if you order the cider on tap, then that's what you get, 15 cL of drink. Apparently if you order the bottle of cider, you actually get the whole 33+ cL and a side glass of ice. Again, the bartender didn't understand why we were upset. Our waiter didn't offer to remove the drinks from the tab or even offer us to change to the bottle so we actually got our money's worth. The she has the audacity to ask for a tip when the bill came. That's just the issue with the drinks. The food took almost an hour to get out. I ordered the vegetarian mushroom steak, and it was the saltiest thing I've ever tasted. But honestly, I was so hungry after the long wait that I ate all of it even though it was horrible. I also didn't want to say anything because I didn't want them to send it back so they could spit in my food, which I would not be surprised at with the kind of service I received from the waiter. Don't eat here. And I can guarantee you that I'm going to receive the same automatically generated response as all of the bad reviews here. Seriously, go look at the bad reviews. These guys are copy pasting responses and not actually reading these posts or offering any real solutions. My bill was 1200 NOK and our 2 "drinks" were 1/4 of the bill. But you won't see them respond to this to offer a refund. Because they don't actually care about their restaurant or their patrons.

Yesterday there were three of us. We ordered the "Sunday roast menu". The portion is big! This menu includes unlimited Caesar salad - this is salad, croutons, sauce and a little parmesan and unlimited French fries, as well as Tri-Tip steak, sliced - very hard to chew, very oversalted. It's strange that they impose salt like that. Usually I don't salt anything at all. Barnacle sauce - a little sour - non-traditionally prepared also in unlimited quantities. Cheap - Yes, tasty - a moot point. After this meat you need to go get your teeth fixed 🦷 And to be honest today there is an unpleasant feeling in the stomach. We also ordered boiled hot water, since we do not drink cold. We do not want to have problems with a sore throat. The waiter brought hot water from the tap 🤌🏻 I didn't look where they poured it from and it turned out that we drank two glasses of this bad water. I never expected that anyone in the world would have enough brains to pour hot water from the tap. Since everything was super salty, and we were super hungry. We drank this water and ate everything. Now I regret it and today my stomach has been gurgling all day, gas, pain ... I do not recommend this place. My son followed the next bottle of hot water - he told me that the hot water was from the tap. To which the waiter said that they did not have a kettle, so he poured water from the tap. Brutal. You can just say that there is no hot water.

KoD is a popular steakhouse with a couple of branches alone in oslo city ... it was so good that we went to dinner there twice during the week time we were there and if we could we would go back more than twice! Now, for starter, the sentrum location where we went was centrally located in downtown oslo so it's pretty ideal if you are sightseeing or doing some shopping in that lively area.... the ambience of the place is typical of the more chic steakhouses so it's perfect for business lunches as well as romantic dinner. The service was superfriendly and prompt with servers willing to clarify anything on the menu and accommodate any particular request you might have regarding how you might like your favourite cut of meat prepared or anything else you might require to make your dinning experience as memorable as possible Their salad and fries were good but the real highlight was the quality of the meat cuts which was tender, well prepared and perfectly seasoned for a true indulgence in every bite ... the thing that kept us coming for more and will definitely bring us back in the future for even more! Maybe next time we would try their other restuarant located in the upscale frogner area ... am sure it will be an even more exclusive experience!
