T.G.I. Fridays - Aker brygge — Restaurant in Oslo

I booked ahead and asked for an outside seat, this was not possible as it had been given to a showing guest, not off to a great start! The candle was then knocked over by the waiter when we were seated. Once we had sat down, we ordered a starter to share, 2 main meals (they didn't have the burger that I wanted), I went for thr chicken sandwich with extra cheese and bacon, 2 Guinness's and a bottle of water to share. 20 minutes passed by and still no drinks. I overheard our waiter reminding someone to provide us with our drinks. We then received these. A further 10 minutes later our starter arrived which was very nice. 25 minutes later our main meals arrived and they had missed out the bacon that I had ordered at an extra price! I reminded them of this and 5 minutes later the brought it over in a little pot which the bacon had all been burnt! The chicken sandwich had way too much sauce, sliced carrots and pickles in it to the point where I had to dissect it to enjoy it. Now onto dessert, again what I wanted they didn't have so I opted for a vanilla milkshake which took a futher 20 minutes to arrive, when my guest received theirs I had to remind the waitress what I ordere . To conclude, having spent 1020,00NKR on this meal, i did not enjoy the experience and would opt for some place else such as Hard Rock Cafe or perhaps Jamie's Italian. I will not...

We were seated behind a divider, which caused the staff to not see us, or walk past us, so it was impossible to get their attention, when we needed something. A waiter asked me if I wanted a refill of my drink, and then I waited 10 minutes for him to come back with it, and I honestly think he forgot about it, and he was not reminded of it, since we were behind the divider. They were super slow, even though there were not a lot of people there.

When we asked for the bill, the guy went around to check on other tables, and just chatted with other customers and staff, and he did not even attempt to bring the bill to us. After a while, we went up to the front and asked if we could just pay there, but that was not possible, seeing as the people there were not waiters, but runners, so they could not give us the bill. The runner girl I talked to, went outside to ask our waiter if we could have our bill, but when she came back, she said that our waiter had taken his break. In order to access a table (even though many of them were free) they told me that first I have to go to the bar to have something to drink and wait 30 minutes until they call me to assign me the table, given this I approached the supervisor (white woman of medium height who was wearing glasses) to ask her why should I wait for a table when there are many tables available,to which this woman replied in a rude manner that these are company policies and that if I don't agree I should leave otherwise sit and wait. I live and work here in Norway and this is the first time I have received poor, deplorable and disrespectful service". Firstable they should choose better their work staff and much more so for the supervisor who is supposedly in charge and is the head of the team. That person should not be working directly with the customer service, and on the other hand we should not be forced to consume at the restaurant bar in order to get a table. Very bad experience I don't recommend this...
