I recently dined at this charming restaurant in Oslo and had a delightful experience. The food was absolutely delicious, with just the right amount of spice to enhance the flavors without overwhelming the palate. The highlight for me was the starter focaccia, which was perfectly baked and seasoned. The dessert, a tiramisu, was one of the best I've had in Oslo – creamy, rich, and simply divine. The environment added to the overall experience, with lovely outdoor tables that provided a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. While the service could use a bit of improvement, it didn't detract from our enjoyable evening. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for a memorable dining experience.

We had dinner at this Italian place and ordered two starters, two mains, and a bottle of wine (“F1 Riesling”). • Starters: Caprese (6/10) and Tagliere Small (6.2/10) – not a big fan of the blue cheese. • Mains: Rigatoni Amatriciana (6.8/10) and Pizza Diavola (6.5/10). The food was decent overall, but what really stood out was the nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and the cozy vibe of the restaurant.

A cosy Italian place with above average food. The bruschetta was nothing special, but very fresh and appetizing. The prawn pasta was at perfect al Dante and they were generous on the amount of prawns. However the dish was under seasoned and the umami of the prawns were not brought out well enough. If you are in the neighborhood and craves Italian, this is a good option.

Warning!!! Shocking experience!!!

Absolutely appalling customer service at this place! Been on numerous occasions because i live 2 min away and after they reopened back in May it's been atrocious. it has gotten worse and worse, and the staff, words can not even describe how rude and amateur these people are. The waiters, both male and female, they're very rude to their guests and lazy and have a terrible and very negative attitude. On top of it all: they do not understand a word of english, but thry pretend that they do. As a result they bring you the wrong drinks, wrong food, and when you let them, know they say it is the customers fault, and insist you must pay for it anyways... because clearly you as the paying customer didn't know what you ordered, right? It's like a comedy: It's absurd and hillarious. This is 1/10. Misunderstandings with these non english speaking waiters that still try to speak english is a nightmare. They might understand what you mean if you physically point with you finger on the menu to what you want, otherwise no. And they make you pay for their own mistakes. Incredible. They have a few that speaks norwegian, but most of the staff does not. Cheap labour? I suppose so.

They serve subpar drinks: E.g. Aperol Spritz in filthy glasses and with garnish that is rotten, and are in general lazy bums taking extremely overcharged prices for medium-made drinks. They do not have a designated bartender anymore. He quit or something. Now all the waiters just go behind the bar and make the drinks themselves on demand. Most of them barely have a clue how to tap a beer.

Tip: Walk 200 meters to Brasserie Ouest instead. It's a real quality French cuisine brasserie, that also just serves drinks (you don't have to order food) and you'll get a much better experience from waiters that actually appreciate their paying customers and are enthusiastic and positive. The negativity from most of the waiters at Veneria Ventidue is noticable and it is clear they do not enjoy what they are doing and let the customers pay for it. If the owner is underpaying them or whatever the problem is, I don't know, but this place is going to go bankrupt soon unless they do something. People do not return to this place a second or third time.

The food menu is very limited. Hardly any anti-pasti. And a tiny little antipiasti with socalled italian ham, its a very small dish and costs 385,- Giro Tondo, go there.

I go to restaurants to enjoy myself with my company i'm there with but that is no longer possible at this grievous place. Price is not something im concernced with. Like i said, i go for the experience and to enjoy myself in the company of others. But these nasty waiters/bartenders ruins the whole place.

The last time i was there with a friend one of the waiters lost a plate that smashed in the ground and spilled green pesto all over my jacket that was hanging over a chair. He didn't say a word and I didn't notice (I was facing the other way). My date told me to check the jacket, which I did, and it was full of green pesto. When i confronted the waiter with this - and he knew he had spilled pesto all over it - then he came back with a dirty rug dipped in water and some soap and started scrubbing it without even asking for permission; the suit is dry-cleaning only.

An 800 dollar suit (jacket and trousers). Then the brainiac, when i told him to knock off 200 kroner on the bill for drycleaning, he refused to do so and started acting very rude and intimidating. He even called the police on us, when he was the person that spilled pesto all over the jacket, and then had the nerve to first just A) pretend it never happened and then B) when confronted with this suggested sending it to an industrial dry cleaner for their uniforms and stuff like that - not a professional dry cleaner for expensive suits/shirts. Then C) when i told him this was unacceptable and that he needed to knock 200 kroner off the bill so that I could take it to my own dry cleaner the idiot called the police.

Me and everyone I know will never visit...

What used to be a very good place has unfortunately become something quite different. We started looking at the wine list and three times we ordered and was told they didn’t have this wine. Maybe it’s the time you’d update your wine list at that point? Then over to the food; we ordered a pizza first and it was indeed good, as a main course we ordered the rabbit, however the dish came with pieces of plastic in it. This is of course unacceptable. We complained in a non-dramatic behavior, and this is where the bad service comes in. It would be expected, at the least, to remove this order from the bill. However what we got was a long explanation of how it was cooked (sous vide) and why it was plastic in it. What was offered was one drink (Aperol spritz) taken of the bill. Nothing more. As a final salute the waiter in a quite aggressive manner dropped the terminal at the table for us to pay the bill after finally agreeing to remove the dish with plastic from the bill. Everyone can make mistakes, certainly, but then you have to own up to them in a professional way. We will not be going back and quite frankly don’t recommend others to go there either. There’s plenty of good...

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

We visited this place since we live nearby. The absoutley first thing you see how unprofessional and uncordinated the waiters are. The food took over one hour to get and it some of us ordered a simple salad dish. We were 5 people and all of us ordered different dishes and we all were greatly dissapointed.

The food is subpar, theres nothing that reminds us of italian food let alone a decent meal. The person owning this restaurant clearly does not know what they are doing. The waiters are not enjoying one bit to work there and you can feel that. As one of the other customers here has statet:

"Walk 200 meters to Brasserie Ouest instead.
