Sirkus Renaa, an amazing restaurant/cafe/bakery in Stavanger is where I met Mathew the first time while in Stavanger!

We had a wonderful breakfast together, outstanding Cafe Latte, perfect Egg’s Benedict! What a way to start the day!

What makes Sirkus Renaa so special is that it also serves as a production facility for the Renaa group of restaurants!

Proudly did Mathew show me around the entire facility which is truly inspiring! And while walking through the back of the house, he almost matter of factly introduced me to the best baker in Norway as voted just! (Funny one is wondering is there anything the group has not won?)

From a very spacious cafe to a well planned and layed out production facility it was truly worth exploring! Home made Chocolates/Pralines, in-house Ice Cream production, etc etc.

Even a Pizza Oven , and I got to try the Pizza Diavola, hey my Italien friends, this pizza was one of the best I ever tried, sourdough bread, importer spicy sausages from Italy, the tomatoes which are totally superb! Once again, working with absolutely amazing basic produce does make such a difference, something we in Singapore can only dream about or have deep pockets to get it air-flown!

Long story short, the Renaa group is driven by quality & passion of which there are few globally able to Challenge! No wonder that Stavanger is hailed as the Gourmet Capital of Norway!

Pros :

1. Nice place , if you are looking for Central location and travelling Stavanger. Very good place for Short duration visit.

2. Good Restaurant in same building which is easily accessible, and you can enjoy food , experience City vibes on weekends.

3. Good Hotel in Budget..

Cons :

1. If you are planning for long stay , more than a week, then you feel this apartments very Compact and cossy. If you are with Family and kids, then it may cause Discomfort. Even 2 BHK have minimal space allocation .

2. Lighting is too poor in Rooms, unless you request them to change it. May be it's for ' Romantic ' feel.But this romance can cost on your eye stress. Request to change it. Rooms don't feel fresh without lighting and good colors.

3. Not all rooms have same Cooking utensils..if you are missing some, you need to tell and get it..

Overall,

Yes good place for Short Duration Visiters and Traveller's..Will...

Our first time at Sirkus Renaa and we will be back! Delicious cakes and coffee, pizza looked great (that's what we will go back for next!). Staff were lovely and welcoming as soon as we walked in. They set the table and took us to our table. I have given 4 stars just based on the fact that we both wanted to sit on the sofa looking out across the restaurant but couldn't because it was dirty with food, sauce and sticky stuff.... just a bit more attention to detail the place would be perfect.

Edit: Second visit for more cake! (chocolate/coffee eclair) This time we took family. We were terribly disappointed, we all had the same cake... burnt aftertaste, obviously left out too long which resulted in the cream turning tough and rubbery on top. Really bad which we should have asked them to take back. The picture looked...
