My smoked trout starter was an absolute revelation. It's so easy to overwhelm smoked fish with unwanted "fusion" flavours of the moment (Yes matcha, I'm looking at you) but this was pure and simple and complex all at the same time. But the joy was I could taste the smokiness of the fish and it was stunning. The rest of the meal was more amazing flavours, textures and visuals. Everything looked and tasted exceptional. The only negative was some of the staff were a little off, or forgetful of requests for ice. I've dined there twice and I keep living off the memory of the steak for a long while afterwards. It was that good! Both times I had the three-course meal, once complimented with the vine package, which was also exquisitely paired with the dishes.

The view is amazing and the atmosphere is great! The staff is very friendly and knows their stuff focusing on local ingredients from the Stavanger region.
