En fantastisk opplevelse, et flott museum

I really enjoyed my experience and my 2 hours in this museum. It includes various sections nicely organised, very well documented and beautifully decorated. Everything is made for the kids and for the adults. The toy manufacturer section takes you back to your room with the magic of toys, when you were little. The animals sections are very impressive with skeletons and a lot of impressive mammals, birds..... A section for the kids with a nice fort where they can play and run, incredible And a lot of explanations on aventurers, toys manufacturer, and even how to make a baby, lol.

Free with the "must" museum pass, I will say that this museum is a MUST. I warmly recommend it, to play and or to learn.....

Visite on saturday 9 december 2023.

Takk for dette flotte museet og en fantastisk opplevelse.

Nice museum to visit, especially with kids. There is a small virtual reality exhibit that lets you follow along with the migratory flight of seagulls. Both our kids and us parents enjoyed that small exhibit. There's also a cool/weird exhibit where they project 3D holograms in a room of various animal skulls with human faces projected onto them which are singing. Interesting. There's also a doll making experience whichever my boys enjoyed but girls would likely enjoy even more. Most, but not all, exhibits have English in addition to Norwegian text. Anyway, a nice museum overall. Also, paid entry into this museum allows free same day entry into one (or more?) other museums...

Amazing museum, this is how every city museum should look. 🌟 The exhibition on the top floor is interactive, showcasing each century and significant events in the city in a very dynamic way, featuring art from local authors. 🎨 Additionally, there are exhibitions about human embryos and their development, a children's toy museum, and a display of animal models. 👼🧸🦌 On the lower floor, there are also real stuffed birds. 🐦. Entrance for student...

Good location (near train station). Good price - an adult is paying 150 NOK. Child is for free. Well organized museum. Interesting exhibitions. Short explanations so do not expect knowledge or history digging. There is also a playground for kids where you take a break. With the ticket from Stavanger Museum you can visit other Museum as well but... The problem is they are open till 3 and 4 PM. I managed to visit 2 at the same day.

In the center of the city, this museum has a good selection of permanent and temporary exhibitions. It has a very well done exhibit of local fauna, with some stuffed animals you can touch to experience how their fur feels. The exhibit of bunad (national outfit) and its history is excellent, but I believe it is temporary. And top of all of that the staff are very friendly.
