En fantastisk opplevelse, et flott museum I really enjoyed my experience and my 2 hours in this museum. It includes various sections nicely organised, very well documented and beautifully decorated. Everything is made for the kids and for the adults. The toy manufacturer section takes you back to your room with the magic of toys, when you were little. The animals sections are very impressive with skeletons and a lot of impressive mammals, birds..... A section for the kids with a nice fort where they can play and run, incredible And a lot of explanations on aventurers, toys manufacturer, and even how to make a baby, lol. Free with the "must" museum pass, I will say that this museum is a MUST. I warmly recommend it, to play and or to learn..... Visite on saturday 9 december 2023. Takk for dette flotte museet og en fantastisk opplevelse. I'm on the other pictures, then i don't publish

In the center of the city, this museum has a good selection of permanent and temporary exhibitions. It has a very well done exhibit of local fauna, with some stuffed animals you can touch to experience how their fur feels. The exhibit of bunad (national outfit) and its history is excellent, but I believe it is temporary. And top of all of that the staff are very friendly.

The Stavanger city museum is very interesting to visit. It falls under MUST scheme (and by paying 50NOK-student price) and you can visit three musuem inside Stavanger. The basement has all the preserved fauna, first floor is a children’s museum and the top floor has photographs and mannequin depicting the history of old Stavanger. It was an interesting visit!

A cocktail museum I would call it. It has a toy museum, a natural history museum and a Stavanger city museum all housed in the same building. The building is not large, so don’t expect an extensive collection, but many of the items and restored scenes of history or human body is very carefully curated, it is quite a pleasure to give an hour’s visit.

The museum was great to visit and learn all about the local area and its heritage. The staff spoke perfect English and were very helpful and advised us that the fee for entry covers other museums in the area. There was a lot on display here across multiple floors with lots of information displayed. It took around an hour to get through the museum.

Really nice museum with different types of animals, birds and insects. Maybe more fun with children as you can quickly go trough them all if you are just there to look. For children there are different activites too so its a family friendly place. There is a cafeteria incase you get hungry to the left of the entrence.
