Such a great place and find!

I am fortunate enough that at my age I have had the pleasure to travel to different countries around the world and when doing so, very much enjoy finding a local Cigar Lounge to rest, relax, catch up with a few emails/work and meet the locals and other tourists.

La Casa Del Habano is one of the best Cigar Lounges I have ever visited. I literally went every single day on my travels to Panama City as I missed being there. I was in Panama City for a Wedding and I even fit a quick Cigar in between the Church and Wedding Reception to get my daily visit.

Rafael, Felipe, & Enrique were fantastic and made my time there so enjoyable. Friendly, Courteous, & Knowledgeable. The owner (did not get his name) and his son & daughter were lovely as well.

I felt so much at Home there I hugged them before leaving on my final day there.

Strange place. You can’t smoke a cigar there until 3 PM. As to their cigars, they’re all Cuban, which isn’t a bad thing, but as any cigar smoker knows, Cubans are overpriced and often poor quality. $36 for a Partagas that was so plugged, I had to throw it away after attempting to smoke it for five minutes. The defective nature of the cigar was made known while I was there, as I attempted to ream draw holes twice, to avail. So, they were aware of the defective nature of the cigar and made no attempt to remedy. If you are a serious cigar smoker, I suggest bringing your own and sit at one of the many cigar friendly outdoor bars and enjoy it, and avoid this...

I am a quiet cigar aficionado and never post these kinds of reviews…. And that being said, this place is absolutely ridiculously overpriced for mediocre cuban cigars… the store is beautiful, the service is great, but all the cigars (cuban only) are insanely overpriced… i asume it is just because it is a Casco Viejo tourism area and suckers like me forgot cigars in the humidor back home??? There are better places elsewhere in Panama City….. also, not kid friendly at all… I was walking by with family and our children and to stay outside on the street...
