The ambiance at Lula Casco is very inviting, with gentle lighting and bookcases lining the walls. Our waitress, Francine, is extremely attentive, speaks excellent English, and works hard to please everyone. The food is excellent, and the starters come to the table quickly. Get the falafel hummus. Yes, I know - if you keep kosher, you can get falafel and hummus basically anywhere. This is particularly good. It was recommended to us by our non-, Jewish tour guide, and he wasn't wrong. We also must recommend the fried yucca/plantation starter and cannot praise it enough. We wanted a plate to go for later. We loved the chicken kormah. It was like comfort food with its delicious flavors and warm spices. We also ate the French roll (rich and delicious), and the chimichurri chicken (very tasty, and light yet satisfying). We also got the shawarma empanadas. Very good fusion that really worked! We could not finish everything, and we didn't even get anything particularly heavy except for maybe the chicken kormah. We did not have any room for dessert, unfortunately. We over-ate and over-ordered, so our price per person was maybe a little bit high, but each item on the menu seemed very reasonably priced, in our opinion. There are a few higher end dishes that we didn't order, but even with them, the prices seemed fair.

Do yourself a favor and go there if you're...

Nestled in the heart of the newly renovated old city of Casco Viejo, Lula Casco offers an unforgettable kosher dining experience with the bold, authentic flavors of Israeli street food. From the moment we stepped into this inviting space, we knew we were in for a treat.

The menu is a celebration of Israeli culinary tradition, featuring perfectly authentic appetizers, fluffy fresh pita breads, vibrant salads, and the most delicious schnitzel we’ve ever had outside of Israel. Every dish bursts with freshness and flavor, leaving us eager to try more.

A standout of our experience was Frances, our incredible waitress. Her passion for the food was contagious as she guided us through the menu, explaining the ingredients and making thoughtful recommendations. Her warm and attentive service elevated our meal, making us feel like family. Frances truly went above and beyond, ensuring that every detail of our dining experience was exceptional.

Lula Casco is more than a restaurant—it’s a destination for anyone seeking an authentic taste of Israel in a lively, kosher-friendly environment. With incredible food and service that shines, this spot is not to be missed. We can’t wait to return and try more of their delicious offerings!

Highly recommended—ask for Frances; she’ll make your visit even...

This cool restaurant serves a mix of Middle Eastern food with Colombian food, to create a menu of super interesting dishes. We came for lunch one day and enjoyed it so much we returned the next night for our last dinner in Casco Viejo, knowing we'd have another great meal.

Over the course of those two meals we had: yucatones bravos - perfectly fried and delicious salsa! empanadas de shawarma - tasty hummus falafel - such creamy hummus reminiscent of what we have had in the Middle East, with crunchy and flavorful falafel and a great little salsa pita - so nice and soft hummus shawarma - same amazing hummus but with delicious chicken shawarma falafel - more, just on its own because it was so good lula salad - perfectly grilled chicken on a fresh salad with an absolutely delicious dressing that I was mopping up with my extra pita

The restaurant's vibe is calm and relaxing, and the service is great. Both people that served us were welcoming, attentive...

Lula - A Cozy Israeli Gem in the Heart of Casco Viejo If you're looking for a warm and inviting spot in Panama City, Lula in Casco Viejo is a must-visit. Nestled in the heart of this historic neighborhood, Lula offers a delightful combination of cozy ambiance and incredible Israeli cuisine. We started our meal with the falafel and tzatziki. The falafel was perfectly crispy, and the tzatziki added a refreshing touch. The Hummus Sabij stole the show, with its creamy hummus topped with flavorful eggplant, a fried egg, and fresh pico de gallo—a dish so delicious we couldn’t leave a single bite behind. The chicken with roasted vegetables was next, cooked to perfection and beautifully balanced. We wrapped up the meal with the eggplant sandwich, another flavorful and satisfying dish. From the food to the atmosphere, Lula is a standout restaurant in Panama City. Whether you're a local or just visiting, make sure to add this spot to your list. Highly recommended!

If you're searching for an unforgettable Israeli Mediterranean dining experience in Panama, look no further! This restaurant is nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we stepped in, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and filled with freshly prepared dishes. The falafel hummus was perfection—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and paired beautifully with smooth, flavorful hummus. The teriyaki gnocchi dish was an unexpected delight, in every bite. And then came the malabi for dessert which was a creamy, dreamy indulgence topped with just the right touch of floral coconut sweetness. Without a doubt, this is the best restaurant I’ve been to in Panama. The care they put into their dishes, the freshness of the ingredients, and the impeccable service make every visit a joy. If you love Mediterranean flavors, don’t wait—this spot deserves all the attention it can get!
