Where do I begin? You should already know that this place is a tourist trap so let's just move on to the experience of visiting Diablicos.
We were greeted by a very nice and welcoming gentleman and shown to our seats. It took almost ten minutes to be greeted by our server and another fifteen to get our drinks. The menu is fairly extensive but you will quickly realize that the prices are roughly three times higher than other restaurants for the same dishes. We ordered two entrees and a kids pasta meal along with a mixed drink and a glass of wine.
One entree and the kids pasta arrived first with no mention of the second entree. After a few minutes the server arrived to say they were out of the other entree and brought back the menu. My wife picked another entree and the waiter left as the performance started. The performance was quite good if overly loud.
Her meal arrived fairly quickly and seemed larger than the fried fish she had ordered but it's hard to distinguish between fried whole white fishes so we didn't say anything. The fish was very good. When we finished eating we asked for the check.
This is where they screw you. First, they select the 20% tip option for you without providing a pen to change it. Next, they will add a $10 PER PERSON fee for the show. This fee is NEVER mentioned on the website, when you make reservations, or by the server. Did I mention that 20% tip? It's on top of the fee so they are adding a tip for the hidden entrance fee as well. Absurd.
Well, I knew about the tip coming in and it wasn't that much of an issue as we always tip 20%. However, we then noticed that the dish my wife ate was $16 more expensive than the one she ordered. The server insisted he brought the dish she ordered.
The entire dinner (two entrees, one kids pasta, two glasses of wine, and a Caiprinha) including the show fee and mandatory tip ended up costing over $135. Do yourself a favor and eat somewhere, anywhere else four times in a row for the same price. Diablicos is...

The restaurant’s dark and mysterious decor, inspired by demons and the underworld, creates an atmosphere that is both captivating and comfortable. The well-spaced seating ensures privacy, and the overall ambiance is perfect for a special night out. The food is the real star of the show. The menu features a variety of Panamanian dishes, each prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The flavors are bold and satisfying, making every bite a memorable one. The sampler platter is a must-try for those who want to experience a little bit of everything. The service is friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. The staff is always willing to offer recommendations and answer any questions. While the restaurant is nearly perfect, there is one minor area for improvement: the bathrooms could benefit from a slight refresh. However, this is a very small complaint compared to the overall positive experience. In summary, Diabólicos is a fantastic restaurant that offers a unique dining experience. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is inviting, and the service is excellent. If you're looking for a memorable night out, Diabólicos is definitely worth a visit. Highlights: Unique, dark atmosphere Delicious Panamanian cuisine Friendly and efficient service Generous sampler platter Minor suggestion: Update the bathrooms

Read moreIf I could give this restaurant a zero I would. The only reason why it got a one was because of the waitor. It was so not his fault that their food is so underwhelming. We just ate here tonight and we were so disappointed! We had the pork, the jumbo shrimp, the empanadas and we ordered the fish and chicken nuggets with fries for the kids. The children’s food was okay but the pork dish was over cooked. I could not chew it or swallow the meat. The shrimp was over cooked as well. I don’t know how you can be a chef and over cook something so simple but it was sad when I bit into the shrimp and realized that my jaws would have to work harder to get through the bite. It looked beautiful and smelled delicious. But food should not just be pretty, it has to taste good as well. The empanadas tasted like the outer part of a corn dog and hash inside. The manager gave us the pork for free and only took 25% off the shrimp. We didn’t even eat the food so I felt it should have been taken completely off but I do appreciate that at least they acknowledged that their food was horrible. The food is terribly overpriced and absolutely not worth it. We consider ourselves foodies and we will pay well for good food. This was not good food. It was disappointing because the restaurant was recommended but after we ate there and went back to our hotel, even the taxi driver said the restaurant...
