Read carefully about the reviews saying they will scam you. I got severely scammed (and I mean that in every sense of the words.) They served me a small platter and tried to overcharge. When I protested, they offered to knock $10 off the price without hesitation because they already know they're scamming. Avoid at all cost because unless you are 100% fluent in the language of "no mames guey" they will bend you over. Look carefully at the photos. Even if that was lobster in the bowl, look at the sizes, the tails are smaller than the patacones! This dish plus a $3.50 cup of civiche, $2.00 beer and they tried to charge $69 total and still had nerve to ask for gratuity. I asked locals and they all agree I got price gouged. They say avoid those outside stalls, you are better off going to the restaurant on the second floor called Restaurante Mercado del Marisco. The food was good, the atmosphere was meh, the server was super friendly. But none of that is worth $69. Highway robbery on the...
Read moreBeware!!! A nice place to sit amongst dozens of restaurants. This was sold to us by the charming fellow out the front and we fell flat. Don’t order the Margaritas, they’re undrinkable. The ceviche was ok, not as good as others I’ve had. The main dish looked nothing like the picture and funny the price was not listed on the menu. Im sure none of this food was fresh. Shrimp was off, I mean the smell was terrible, ruined the rest of the meal. The food was so over cooked it was hard to eat. It was not worth $$$. Beer was cheap and cold and white wine was ok, only value. Then came the bill, the two for one undrinkable margaritas charged individually as the two for one are much smaller. An additional $10 was added to the bill, told it was tax. This doesn’t equate to even 10% tax. Just a rip off.. it’s advertised taking card, I saw a card machine, though would only take cash only cash. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone....
Read moreI ordered the sea bass and an ice tea. The menu price would have been less than $20, according to the menu. However, when I received the price, which was not an actual receipt, just $28, handwritten note. When I asked for the price breakdown, the waiter tried changing the subject by asking about my trip in Panamá. I asked again about the price breakdown, and the waiter pretended not to understand. I ended up paying the $28. The food was not good, the fish was overcooked, I could not even enjoy the food if it was good due to the excessive fly's constantly attacking my food, and the ice tea is just a bottle of sugary lipton ice tea. I do not...
