Almacén de Pizzas — Restaurant in Asuncion

Three stars overall because the service is great and the ambience really nice, but the food is very disappointing! The first pizza we ordered came grossly undercooked. Luckily when we showed it to our waiter, she immediately agreed and had another one made for us. A mistake is understandable, but this is a pretty big one for a placed specialized in pizza... The Milanesa (breaded steak) was also a big let-down. Very, very oily (fried in oil that wasn't hot enough) and covered in industrial cheese with small pieces of bacon, when in the menu said it would come with pancetta (which is not the same, and an Italian inspired restaurant should at least know that). The highlight of the evening, food wise, was the side toppings for the pizza, which were really good, but they definitely should not be the only hit. From 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM there is a 30% off everything special offer, which makes the prices more interesting, but still I feel that the food is not worth it. I love the clearly labeled vegan options in this pizza place. There is a NotBurger, vegan pizza, salad and empanada. The burger has lettuce, delicious cooked tomatoes, onions and vegan mayo on a great bun. The pizza has caramelized onions, cooked mushrooms, kale, pesto, olives and vegan cheese (although they were out of the vegan cheese on our visit). We had all the vegan options except the salad. I liked the Sangria and the comfy chairs, good atmosphere but music could be a little bit down since we face trouble while speaking at the table, I found it pricey in contrast with some other local options but delicious as well.
