La Vienesa - Paseo la Galeria — Restaurant in Asuncion

It's easy to be tempted by the cakes and sweets that welcome you when you enter the Viennese cafe atmosphere of La Vienesa, but actually the whole menu is a pleasant surprise after another. From typical Paraguayan dishes like "sopa" (which is not a soup) to Spanish Tortilla and Italian fettuccine alla carbonara, it is all very tasty, comfort food like and comes in very generous portions. Breakfast is served all day, in case you crave scrambled eggs and bacon in the middle of the afternoon or late at night. Service is very kind and attentive and also fast. And those cakes are an excellent way to end your meal. We've been here a few times and we've never been disappointed....

El servicio al cliente y nuestra experiencia en el almuerzo dejo mucho que desear. Si bien la comida es rica y buena relación calidad-precio, linda decoración, cuando uno sale a comer a un restaurante no solamente va por la comida sino por la experiencia, porque de lo contrario nos quedariamos a comer en casa. El mozo que nos atendió corria de aqui para alla, cuando nos iba trayendo los pedidos no paraba a preguntar si queriamos algo más (bebidas, condimentos, etc) dejaba los platos y sin decir nada se iba corriendo.. tuvimos que esperar un montón y estar a los gritos Mozo Mozo! Para que alguien nos traiga un aceite de oliva o sal o nos reponga la bebida. Y cuando le deciamos "Queremos aceite de oliva y ques..." al primer pedido ya respondia "Si si" y se iba y obviamente los pedidos incompletos o incorrectos porque no se quedaba a escuchar, como las bebidas que nos trajeron mal, y hasta un vaso SUCIO! Great taste, fairly priced. Everything I ordered was good and reasonably priced. The salmon was soft and nicely seasoned while the pralines have been tasty but not too sweet.
