Mistura Grill & Restaurant — Restaurant in Distrito de Cusco

We were excited to eat at Mistura because of all of the good reviews, but were very disappointed. Our experience indicated that this place is the classic tourist trap. We knew it was a tourist spot when we decided to eat there, but our other meals at tourist spots in Cusco (on the Plaza) were delicious and had proved to be worth the additional cost (and genuinely were not outrageously priced), but not Mistura.

Our overpriced cocktails had almost no alcohol and plenty of juice (former bartender here), the food was decent, but not worth the price we paid, and when I asked the server for a recommendation between two equal-priced options, they turned the page and insisted that I should have a dish that was double the price. When I explained that I did not want that dish and would like a recommendation between the two dishes I was considering, the server again turned the page and insisted that I should order the expensive dish that I did not want.

All of these exchanges were done in Spanish, so a language barrier was definitely not the issue. The only positive thing about the whole experience was the...

A very pleasant dinner at this elegant restaurant. The waiter, Dennis, was professional and made an enjoyable evening. The complimentary pisco sour was a nice touch. The grilled salmon and the alpaca steak were delicious. The music from Peruvian one-man-band gave a great atmosphere....

Local muy bonito, amplio y limpio, la atención esmerada, la srta sumamente cortes y amable. La comida, su costo si bien esta por encima del promedio, pero me parecio muy agradable, el chairo cusqueño estuvo genial y la mixtura inca parrillera no se quedo atras, bien taipa. Entre 2 casi no acabamos ademas que la carne estaba en su punto como todo lo demas. Experiencia a parte fue probar el coctel maracuya sour, y el refresco de maracuya buenazo, super rico.
