This little neighborhood cevicheria is off the beaten path in Miraflores but nestled in an area with hotels catering to foreign visitors. It is usually SRO during lunch time. They have a very friendly and welcoming staff. I went an hour before closing and ordered a “Picante de Mariscos”. “Picante de mariscos is a traditional Peruvian dish originating from the coastal regions. This spicy stir-fry is usually prepared with a combination of garlic, oil, potatoes, onions, white wine, hot chili peppers, cumin ,parsley, and seafood such as squid, mussels, clams, and shrimp.”
I selected this dish precisely because it was supposed to be spicy but it turned out to be quite bland and boring. It left me wishing I had ordered anything else.
