KUK Gastro Bakery — Restaurant in Lima Metropolitan Area

We went there for the open bar special and left feeling duped. We arrived at about 9 pm and asked the waiter about the special. He showed us the menu specifically for it and told us what was and was not included. We ordered a few rounds and shortly after 10 pm we asked for another and that's where he said, "oh I forgot to tell you, the open bar special is only until 10." Mind you, no where on the menu or the restaurant did it say there was a time limit or until a certain time for the open bar. So I told him "Had you said that from the beginning, we wouldn't have gotten it. Can you bring us one last round?" and he responded with "sure, but I'll have to charge you for it." What's most upsetting is that he didn't tell us from the start, he didn't tell us when he brought our drink the first time, or the second time, or the third time- the chances to tell us were there. Coincidentally, he told us after (allegedly) the time was already up. Seems like the whole "open bar" special they promote is just get people in the door and then if they see you actually taking advantage of it, they'll make up some time limit. But anyway, I wouldn't go back and I'm glad there are other places in the area that actually honor...

Been here twice and both times has been great. But we did noticed that this time the amount of cheese on top of the bread bowl was a little less than the first time we came over 5 months ago. But the flavor was there, the service was great as well, and the atmosphere was great as well. They have some construction work going right next to their shop that I wouldn’t recommend seating outside for now because of all the noise and dust flying all over. I do have to say that o was disappointed by their juices. The mango juice and strawberry “juice” felt more like water with flavor than anything else. Come on Kuk, we are in Peru where fresh fruits are abundant in every corner of the town. I hope they can make their juice feel and taste more like real fruit juice. But overall great tasting bread bowls and a good amount of choices...

Yo entiendo que por la maraton, la cantidad de gente que haya ido al cafe, estar full de los pedido peeeero de ahí a que la persona que estaba tras caja y que también hacia en momentos de meser@ haya sido tan maleducado y haya gritado a una de mis amigas por los errores y demoras que cometian los del mismo local FUERA DE LUGAR y para colmo nos miraba horrible. Yo diciendole por favor si aun se van a demorar entonces nos lo ponen para llevar (recalcó que dije por favor, y todo en buena onda) para esto fue el primer pedido de la mesa y ya ya habían pasado como hora y algo más, los demás habiamos comida y terminado de comer y el jugo y cafe que acompañaba la primera orden de mi amiga no llegaba y para esto que sus huevos revueltos con palta llegaron al último (siendo el primer pedido), NI LO ANOTÓ, esta persona que trabajo en el horario de 10.25am / 10.55am (guiandome de mis fotos) ni siquiera sabiendo su error anoto que por favor pusiera lo que seguía sin traernos para llevar. Y para colmo cuando vino a la mesa y volvió a preguntar: qué falta? Mi amiga le dijo mi jugo y mi cafe. Y el: PERO QUÉ JUGO?!!!.

EN VERDAD, EN VERDAD. NO VAYAN, NO VALE LA PENA, no vale pasar una experiencia DESASTROSA por alguien que no sabe manejar sus emociones y tiene cero control sobre como tratar a los clientes. JAMÁS nos habían tratado con tal falta de respeto en una cafeteria. Y para colmo que se les fue el agua en cocina, y por ende no había baño disponible.... Pudieron avisarnos para entender si eso prudujo la demora no sé. Y al final ceeeeero disculpas de este chic@, en verdad HORRIBLE momento. Y la comida para lo que sirven vs otras cafeterias de lima metropolitan (miraflores, barranco, san borja y surco como referencias) bien bajita. Dejo adjunta foto de mis "french toast" que parecian 2 rebanaditas de pan de molde partidas en 4. Para quienes piden french toast en otras cafeterias saquen sus conclusiones. #BienBajito. ́No tomé foto pero igual para referencia el club sandwich solo viene medio sandwich de los 4 triangulos que suelen venir en cualquier cafeteria aqui te dan 2 triangulos y papas nativas de bolsita (tipo tipacuy). De ahi el local/ambiente, bien, fresh. Es abierto, tienen terraza, sillas, cojines, chill. Lo único bueno.
