Libre Hotel, BW Signature Collection — Hotel in Lima Metropolitan Area

I have stayed a couple of times over the few years and still recommend this hotel especially as a Best Western member. The late check out, points and welcome gift as a Diamond member are appreciated and have been consistent over the years. The breakfast is generally pretty decent but could always be improved. Each floor has a different color so if you don't like seeing a certain color every day you could request a different floor. I have stayed in yellow, teal and orange. There is a nice roof to area to sit and free parking below. I usually stay here when prices are more affordable.... some nights it can be around 50 USD other nights up to 90 USD depending on when you book, the occupancy and the season. The hotel has an environmentally friendly vibe with the towels, refillable water and soap dispensers. Despite being super environmentally friendly they still offer some good hot water showers yay! This is a lovely hotel, ideally located in Mira Flores near JFK Park and the major shopping districts. I stayed here because of my membership with Best Western. However, my peeks and benefits were not honored here, which lowered the rating. My room was also not totally clean, having items left over from the previous occupant. There were also no washcloths. The lights from the router, A/C, and TV stay on all night shining from the for of the bed with the router pulsing. It was very distracting and made for a difficult nights sleep. The desk clerk spoke English, which was very helpful. It's hard to find anyone who speaks English here, and it is wrong of me to expect everyone to adapt to my needs. My Spanish is very limited. Breakfast was expansive and delicious with everything you could imagine from scrambled eggs to smoothies to cheese trays to oatmeal to a fruit spread with exotic fruits. We stayed here twice, two nights at the start and two nights at the end of our trip. Both times the rooms were clean and modern, with well designed bathrooms and comfortable beds. The second time our room was facing the street though, and that makes it noticeably louder so if you're on that side earplugs are needed.

The location is great too, and the only minor issue we had was breakfasts. The quality wasn't that great for many of the foods and the variety was fairly small, with only a few hot foods (one day was only curry chicken, rice, and vegetables for the hot food as well as scrambled eggs). They had trouble keeping it refilled when the breakfast room was larger too and would take trays of food away for 5-10 mins to refill it, so if you didn't time it right there may not be everything they have.
