Siete Sopas Surquillo — Restaurant in Lima Metropolitan Area

I went twice this week. The first visit was ok. Server was rude. Carla was her name. It looked like it bothered if people asked questions. Rude, short and not very accommodating throughout the meal, but at the time of collecting payment and asking if we wanted to leave her a tip, het whole Demeanor went from cero to a thousand. We decided to come back and it was definitely the last time we would step foot in that stablishment. After a 50 minute line at the door, a lady came out and started taking down names and asking for party sizes. Then 15 minutes later, she started Calling the bigger parties mind you, people who were at the end of the line (THE NERVE) at that point I wanted to leave. But we stayed, we should have. After an hour and 20 minutes we were told the only place available to sit was at the bar counter where thet pack the togo orders. We agreed. And from there everything went wrong. We were able to see that the person cutting the cooked chicken was not wearing gloves, grabing them with his bare hands and placing them in people's plates. There was another person grabbed the pasta in the soup with her hands to remove them, I guess some people order with less pasta and more broth. This place is so busy but lacks better and safer practices. We were just disgusted, asked for the bill. Did not touch that food because I couldn't get that image off my head. Sorry but go somewhere else and avoid...

Ayer fue mi primera vez consumiendo en uno de los locales de 7 sopas, fue en la sede de Surquillo y en general ya me habían dicho que no pasaba nada con las sopas y en efecto lo corroboré. Al entrar el ambiente muy agradable, la música,todo bien. Después en cuanto al servicio nos atendieron diferentes meser@s, razón por la cual imagino yo que se confundieron o no se,pero NUNCA llegó los tequeños que solicitamos y viendo estábamos con una bebé tampoco nos ofrecieron una de esas sillas con mesita o adaptadas para los niños. De igual forma cuando pedí para llevar, una señorita trajo los tapers rápido, los dejo en la mesa y se fue, sin bolsa ni nada(para llevarlo en la mano pensó creo), pero después uno de los meseros que nos atendió,el más amable se acercó a la mesa y nos preguntó si le permitiamos ponerlo en una bolsa para llevar, eso fue excelente detalle la verdad. Ahora en cuanto a la COMIDA, deja mucho que decir. Se pidió un "huallpa chupe" y parecía una simple sopa de pollo, de ahí la "sopa criolla" estaba más aguada, poco fideo y parecía calentada de microondas y esto mismo daba la impresión el tallarín a lo Alfredo kids que se pidió, cuando llego el plato,que fue el primero en recibir la mesa, a la vista parecia o que el plato lo habían servido hace rato o que fue metido al microondas, tanto que la salsa blanca se veia mm como seco encima en vez de ver la cremosidad de la salsa blanca, se tuvo que mover/MEZCLAR los tallarines para recién visualizarla. Ahora al pedir un puré con pollo a la plancha, el plato no estaba caliente ,sin embargo el puré todo bien en sabor. El arroz se les pasó de coccion o agua y la PECHUGA de pollo visualmente cocida, pero por dentro habían zonas crudas y se veia rojo. Así que lo deje y como ningún mesero se acercaba dije "bueno comere lo demás y la pechuga me lo llevo y termino de cocinar", SIN EMBARGO cuando veo bien, mi pechuga a la plancha tenía un pelo incrustrado, se pidió la cuenta, se le dijo a una mesera. Se acercó una supervisora de piso imagino era y muy amable corroboró lo mencionado,pidió las disculpas del caso y que me cambiaría el plato y agregaría el pancito que ponen de cortesía por las sopas, por el tiempo acepte, pero pedí que fuera para llevar. Al rato llega un paquetito sellado y yo tenía la intención de revisar el producto, pero estaba sellado y contra el tiempo. Así que al llegar a casa visualizo y veo que de todo lo que dijo solo colocó el plato que solicite en un inicio y el pan no,igual no me hace ni mas ni menos que no lo pusieran a pesar de que la supervisora DIJO lo pondrian. Yo también soy mesera, también estoy en el área de atención/servicio a clientes. Sin embargo, su personal necesita ser más ATENTO y si sucede un caso como MI PRIMERA EXPERIENCIA en 7 SOPAS y ofrecen dar cierta cantidad de cosas debido a lo acontecido y al final al llegar a cocina ya no hay pan u otra razón, pues deberían COMUNICAR ELLO al dejar la bolsa sellada en la mesa e irse. Porque yo como cliente puedo entenderlo,trabajo en el mismo servicio y puede darse que se ofrece algo y de ahí no hay, pero para eso es la COMUNICACIÓN, no que el cliente se de cuenta al final que no había lo que les dijeron. Cómo dije, yo normal, pero otra persona no lo tomara de...

Wow! This place is amazing. I had the menestron. The beef was the perfect texture, the caldo de gallina was really good, one of the best ive tried (not quite as good as some abuelas make in the sierra but probably the best ive had in a restaurant) I also liked the hierba luisa con limon, we're here in Lima for a week, we will be back before we leave, despite the line! Really its worth the wait and the few extra soles from other cheaper (cheap is a price and a quality ;) ) places

Update second visit. The service was spectacular this time around we altered the dish a bit asked for extra ginger in the chicken soup, which was even better this time than last... the calientito was a terrific hot tea with pisco.. and this night there was patasco soup which is a beef bone broth with mandingo and select cut of beef and more (hominy like corn)

we're so impressed with the quality of the food, especially for the price.... I'd consider it inexpensive for what you're getting...
