If I can give 0 stars, I would.
Service was totally ridiculous. We came in early, and we're the first customers. We were never greeted. We sat down, and a few seconds later, this lady came and stood next to me. Not a word from her. I asked if she's taking our orders and she just nodded. We didn't even get the time to decide on what to order at this point.
While waiting for our food, there were about 5 or 6 waiters/waitresses giggling, dancing around, and being obnoxious. 1 girl was doin her hair, 2 girls were even kissing each other and caressing each other. Very disrespectful and no professionalism. It would have been ok if I had been eating at a KARINDERIA. But I'm paying for food and service inside a mall and was expecting a relaxing meal. It was totally the opposite.
The whole time we were there, the workers' voices were louder than the noise outside the restaurant. The manager didn't even seem to bother that her workers are acting like cats and dogs.
To top it off, I came home sick and had food poisoning. The fried rice tasted like it's been in the fridge for a week, wet and slimy. The pork was so thin and was all fat. The noodles tasted like it's been reheated several times.
I would never go back to this place. P2,000 went down the drain and toilet. NEVER AGAIN AND BY ALL MEANS AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!!! HORRIBLE SERVICE AND FOOD!!!

Read moreThere are only very few authentic Japanese restaurants in Bacolod City and one of them is Ikkoryu Fukuoka Ramen. Upon entering the restaurant, a very accomodating staff welcomed us. The place is small, it would be better if they could expand to accomodate more customers.
We had Ajitama Tonkotsu, Yuzu Tama Tonkotsu, Spicy Tobanjan Tonkotsu and Gyoza. Prices are so affordable and the servings are good.
I like Yuzu Tama Tonkotsu alot. I personally like its soup. It was so unique and delicious. The flavor was bursting inside my mouth. Get this. If you want something spicy, try Spicy Tobanjan Tonkotsu. It was a good choice too. What I had for myself was Ajitama Tonkotsu, it was good, i was enjoying it until I saw a fly in my ramen. You can check the pictures for reference. This is the reason why I gave them a low rate.
Everytime I heard of Japanese Restaurant, the first thing that came into my mind is a good hygiene. I've been to different Japanese restaurants in Metro Manila and I've never encountered a single fly in the dining area or in my food. Cleanliness is very important to maintain. Hopefully they would be able to eliminate those flies. It's really disgusting.

Read moreHaving lived in Fukuoka, it's difficult not to compare Ikkoryu's signature ramen to Ichiran ramen which also originates from Fukuoka. While the ramen is delicious and the option to select the firmness of the noodle is a big plus (pretty much like Ichiran), there's something lacking, IMO, to give it a 5 star review. The broth was pretty close in taste to what one would find in Japan, but I think there's not much depth or umami to it. I think the shoyu used in their broth was too salty and lacked some complexity. Not sure which shoyu they use, but a koikuchi shoyu brewed in traditional kioke gives a certain je ne sais quoi to it. Important to note is also the fact that they don't have togarashii. They do have chilli oil, but I prefer not to use it. Overall, I would still come here if I feel the urge...
