I am writing to express my disappointment regarding the dining experience I had at your Bacolod City branch this evening, around 7:30 PM. While I was enjoying my dinner, I found a hair in my dish, which was extremely disturbing and ruined my appetite. I immediately stopped eating and decided to bring this issue to your attention.
I approached the buffet area near the kitchen and noticed that the kitchen staff was not wearing hairnets, which seemed to be a direct violation of basic hygiene practices. I spoke to the captain crew about the hair in my plate, and he went to the kitchen. However, he too was not wearing a hairnet. After speaking with the kitchen staff and presumably the manager, he returned to inform me that the hair likely came from a customer. I was shocked by this claim. Given that all the kitchen staff were not wearing hairnets, it seems highly unlikely that the hair could have come from a customer. I questioned the captain about the basis for such an allegation and asked, "What is the basis for claiming it was a customerโs hair?" and โWhere is the hygiene and food safety in your restaurant?โ
I find this response highly unsatisfactory and frustrating. It is incredibly disappointing to have paid a premium price for what is supposedly a high-class restaurant, only to experience such a lapse in food safety standards. The lack of professionalism in addressing my concern has left me upset, disheartened, and unwilling to return to Yakimix in the future.
I hope you take this matter seriously and implement the necessary measures to improve hygiene practices to prevent incidents like this from happening...
ย ย ย Read moreCame here for lunch with my family on a Wednesday. There were more than enough tables to accommodate all 9 of us. Only reason I'm giving a 2-star is because the staff were fairly pleasant and attentive.
Food wise, much is left to be desired. The hot station, the rice were okay but dry as the lids were left open. There were a lot of rice but other options, they came out slow and not enough. There were plenty of empty dishes from all stations that didn't get refilled often or fast enough. The sushi section was not the best as it was more rice than filling. The selection wasn't the best and I get that it was during lunch, but I've been to other places that the quality didn't get affected. Overall, the food was just okay.
The situation in the bathrooms, at least the women's, was terrible. Both toilets didn't have a toilet seat on it. Very tough when you have younger kids that needs to use the facility. The stall that we used, also had two, albeit, small, but cockroaches, nonetheless. Left me feeling skeptical about the rest of the restaurant. The faucet and sink was terrible and not sure if that was even soap.
I would perhaps try a different establishment that you will get better value and quality...
ย ย ย Read moreFor the price... it's not worth it anymore. Very few choices and they're slow to refill. Always check the plates because there are food that's still left even after washing. Had to change plates a lot of times due to this. And the worst part was there was a cockroach near the food. Used to like this place but after the pandemic the quality really went down. Makes me miss Vikings. Nothing has changed.
