Date of visit 2019 Dec 23. Time of visit 2.20 pm to 4.00 pm. Food 9. Portion 9. Service 9. Air Conditioning / Ventilation 8. Ambience 7. Price PHP200 to 300/pax. Food: (For 2 males with big appetite, 3 females with small appetite) Lomo ribs half slab, beef pochero, 3 rice, 1 almond lychee gulaman, 1 diet Coke, 1 pineapple juice, 1 kool aid tropical punch, 1 hot cocoa. The taste for all of them were good. The lomo ribs portion was big and tasty. The beef soup was served in a large bowl and was savoury and mixes well with rice. Service: There was 1 whole row of seats for queuing customers. It can support about 20 over customers. We queued for about 2.20 pm to 2.55 pm with about 21 persons in front of us. I expected the duration to be longer, but since it was 2.20 pm, most of the diners might just have had completed their earlier meals. To illustrate the point, it took us about 1 hour to order and finish our meals from 2.55 pm to 4 pm. Service was prompt and good. Ventilation: Although it looked like the place was enclosed, it was actually sheltered on all areas except for the front entrance which has a large opening for cool air exchange. There was no air conditioning but the ceiling fans were switched on. The weather was cool enough and the temperature is ok during the day without any jacket. Ambience: It was Christmas season, but decorations were extremely sparse. But the restaurant did have decent coloured plants to liven up the area. Although the furnishings were rustic looking, there were some uneven mixtures of white and brown. The background music was audible and had an appropriate volume to allow comfortable conversations. Overall: An absolute must go restaurant for lomo ribs. This restaurant is so popular that queuing times extend to more than an hour during peak lunch and dinner hours. Off peak hours could be much faster at 30 mins wait and periods like 4 pm could be as fast as 15 mins.

Place has a nice ambiance feel to it. White is thier colour of choice accented with real green landscapes and vines both outdoors and indoors. All glass walls with a wide floor area and spaces between tables and chairs to give you a semi private experience with your companions. A jazzy bossa nova audibles will welcome you once inside for your hearing pleasure. We tasted 2 drinks and a dessert. Coffee (super bland like water), Hot Cocoa (this is good), Almond Flour Chocolate cake (uber good). It's supposed to be a quite good experience but thier service kills it all. Staff is disorganized and orders has not been taken correctly. Kitchen takes a very literally long time to have the food ordered and its just a slice of cake (and they are not even cooking it). We noticed there is no manager in this establishment thus explains the customer service is not in check. Hopefully this can be worked on and improve internally as soon as possible. Alot of parking space available so no hassles. Health safety protocols is being followed strictly. Kindly give a LIKE 👍 if this helps! Follow ME for my other REVIEWS!

Canto is probably one of the gatekeepers of the culinary legacies in Baguio City. Located in Kissad Road, I had an early dinner there today. Upon scanning the menu, I chose the Cascade Salad, Roast Chicken Quarter Leg with Adobo sauce and Mashed Potatoes and Calamansi Iced Tea as my order. The salad is composed of fresh iceberg lettuce, watermelon chunks, candied walnuts and drizzled with honey - mustard dressing. One word to describe it upon tasting it: SUPERB. Probably the best salad I had in my life. The greens are crunchy, the dressing has just the right sweetness and the candied walnuts is a pleasant surprise. The Chicken is tender and juicy, the Adobo sauce elevated the meat into something heavenly and the mashed potatoes is luxuriously creamy. Add to that, the interiors of the place is oozing with class and understated elegance. And the staff are courteous, attentive and professional. This is probably my best meal to date in Baguio. Canto provided me with a wonderful dining experience. I will come back again in the future.

Canto was recommended to us by our officemate. She said it is worth everything. When we first arrived we saw the long qeue and it's full parking already. Though we left and went to our hotel instead. Around 2:30pm we thought of going back hoping to validate what my officemate was saying about the ribs. So we went back and we're happy to see that there's no more long qeue. Though we still had to wait about 22 minutes for it to be prepared and when the food was finally served, what a happy face I had. When I had my first bite, it was indeed worth everything, the ribs were soft I didn't have to use a knife to cut it, loved the bbq flavor. The mashed potato was perfect the gravy has the right amount of taste and it was so soft that'll melt in your mouth. The garden salad is also a plus! I couldn't just help myself but to repeat "ang sarap" everytime I take a bite. This restaurant is really a 5 star to me. Their staff are also accommodating and the place has a great ambiance.

The name does not do this place justice! It sounds like a carinderia, but the place is actually beautiful with several sections including an ancestral house at the back. In the main dining area, they planted interesting vines that crawl all the way to the ceiling! Very decorative and adds to the ambiance. Location is very prime and strategic. One can easily walk down to Burnham Park for a stroll after a full meal! As everyone has written, the lomo rib is really tender and flavorful. A family slab can satisfactorily feed 5 pax. The Salisbury steak is also good. Given the choice between mashed potato and red rice, the former is much better bec the rice is dry and tough. Dessert is ok. We had 3 diff kinds. The panna cotta lacks body. The s’mores is good. The chocolo is also ok. Overall, an excellent experience! The only thing I would express a tinge of dissatisfaction about is the periodic whiff of street pollution that you would smell in the dining area facing the street.
