Having lunch here was the highlight of my last trip. The food was exceptional - this is a hotel restaurant, so one will notice that the attempt to make the selection as wide as possible is clear as soon as the menu is browsed. They serve Filipino, American, Spanish, Mediterranean, Asian, and Italian dishes across different course types (appetizers / tapas, soups, salads, pastas, sandwiches, mains, desserts). The beverage selection is, in my experience, one of the most extensive in the city center area. The quality of its dishes makes one remember that this place is not just a restaurant that coexists and rides on the novelty of the hotel being the oldest in the city, but clearly strives to be at the top of its game (and succeeds at doing so). The service is much faster than usual, too - amazing given that we arrived at peak lunch hour! The atmosphere is what one would expect from a very old restaurant sans allergens and dilapidated interiors: dimly-lit and sophisticated, polished wood everywhere, and scents of created dishes wafting continuously from the kitchen. Everything was well-maintained and spotless! The walls are adorned with art shots celebrating Baguio City throughout time. What made this place my new favorite is how much the staff - from security to the waiting and kitchen staff - were so much into dogs! So many of them have approached our table just to greet our dogs, and they even proactively brought over water in a metal doggie bowl. This treatment is something that made Hill Station my new favorite dining spot in the city. Things to note when visiting: - I am unsure if dedicated parking is available; I took street parking which is available right in front of the restaurant / hotel (Casa Vallejo) entrance. This is paid parking at PHP 50.00 for 2 hours and additional payment for an additional hour. Max parking duration is 3 hours. - The place accepts cash, major credit cards, and local debit cards as payment. I am unsure about GCash. - Pets are allowed only in a specific part of the restaurant, so please do not expect to sit wherever you want. - As with most establishments in the city, this is not an air conditioned restaurant. - A 10% service charge is added to one's bill, which is very much worth it. Tipping on top of this is highly encouraged.

The resto was rated 4,5 at google and 3.5 on Facebook. Since we have a little problem with the type of food since we came from the middle east...it was highly suggested to us ..we are not sure if it is really certified halal but we took the chance. Going to the place we go with our feet using waze since we are around the vicinity...found it in less than 10 minutes. The resto is like a basement set up.....pastry section is in front ... and the main hall was seen...the set up was quite a fine dining hall...but since there are a lot of people..it looked like a fastfood section...the lights are on dim mode....so the waiter guided us towards the available table. ..the waiter gave us paper..long bond paper with a font of 10..since i can't read it...with dim light...we just ordered the food that they recommended as HALAL...asking if it is too spicy and if they can minimized the spiciness of the food...they can not adjust the food mixture...what can we do ..... Food was served on a morrocan inspired plate....on the Mutton and the Lamb Stew and the Duck Flakes with Laing was served on a plate ... Meat was soft the way it was cooked...the mutton with a sweet taste with sidings of taboolah on a small sauce plate..approximately 30ml container ,full of onion not parsley..(imagine ..we are in baguio..were i expect parsley is one of their product)...and a fita bread cut into halves...with a price almost 700.. Lamb stew couple of 4 pcs of meat with few slices of carrots, potato and bell pepper..that was too spicy...so needed to order yogurt to lower down the spicy taste of the meat...with a price of almost 700... Lastly..the duck flakes with laing and a strand of hair....,😤😤😤😤😤...the flakes..i don't know how they prepared, cooked and served it...its like they dont want us to feel the presence of the duck...it becomed fibers not flakes ...do they know the difference between flakes and fibers.... Upon complaining of the hair strand included on the food .they immediately changed it and requested us to wait... in fairness they didn't argue much of it...with the price of almost 700 But they started to act a little bit of rudeness...which is not a good impact on clients specially if you are serving food....food is life... With that not so spectacular food...with a service that doesn't consider their clients expectations (if your clients are from other countries).

Singlehandedly the most miserable experience during our trip to Baguio. The garden salad came with a side of a white worm/maggot wiggling too vigorously for us to simply condone. Flies of all shapes and sizes perpetually prowled the area (keep in mind, mountain flies are pretty massive). On top of that, we caught a plump black slug inching toward our utensils, which I found too nasty to film for a third time. This surely crossed the threshold for what may just seem like an unfortunate restaurant choice - I wouldn’t even wish this experience upon my worst enemies. We were on the verge of leaving when the waiter stood dumbfounded without taking any action after our complaint, but the rest of our food just had to come at that exact time. I find that funny, because they told us that we couldn’t change a dish we ordered because it was already being cooked, just for them to serve it a whopping 30 minutes later. The food wasn’t even great - mediocre at its best. I suggest you visit here if you’re looking forward to sharing a meal with an uninvited party of nasty insects, and leaving with that strange gut-wrenching feeling that you might’ve swallowed a handful of squiggly bugs.

4/5 because of reeeally good food despite the bad service. We had breakfast here, and I was supposed to have Pinoy meal with vigan longganisa and an extra daing na bangus on the side. Was so excited to dine here because I expected too much I guess with the good reviews I’ve read, and the overall country vibes of the restaurant, being a part of Casa Vallejo. However, the wait staff couldn’t seem to handle what seemed like only a 70% seat occupancy. Not sure if they were undermanned that time, but I waited too long for my order, only to be told like after 45mins that my extra order wasn’t available. I ordered a replacement and specifically told that if it will take a long time again then don’t place it. They served my companion’s food 45mins after ordering, and mine 1 hour after, then my extra order another 10minutes after...when I was almost done. It would have been a nice breakfast experience. Overall good delicious food and unique menu items, nice ambience and all, but the managers could do better! Make sure that all staff are attentive to every.single.customer dining in.

Came here for desserts. By the way, you need to reserve if you're visiting during peak hours. We came around 9pm so we didn't need a reservation. The place looks decent and more like a fine dining. The lights are dim (you can see this in my photos since I didn't edit them), they have complimentary bread and water, and the food's quite pricey except for the desserts. That's what we came here for. We ordered death by chocolate, ice cream palette and cordillera heirloom coffee. Death by chocolate is simple a lava cake served with vanilla ice cream. I love it! It's not to sweet and the cake's moist. Ice cream palette consists of 5 flavors of ice cream - coffee and matcha flavors tastes good, other flavors strawberry, passion fruit and cinnamon tastes too sour for me. I don't drink coffee so my hubby is the one who judged the heirloom coffee. He said it's one of the best coffee he had. Minus one star coz some of the ice cream's too sour.

Baguio has the cool mountain air and sweet smelling pine trees ( in some locations ), having more interesting dining places and accommodations make it a top destination for locals. This restaurant has a hotel within its grounds. Built in 1909, I was told that it was built for use of the construction teams that built the roads, bridges and the American buildings when the country was still under the American rule, before the World War 2 broke out. Several changes have been made to make the place adopt to the times. One such recent change is the two wooden staircases leading to what is now the main dining area. The restaurant shop is not to be missed. The salad dressings, the Argentine wine are top notch. Yes, the dining experience was very pleasant. The staff were all very good and attentive. Something I noticed in the restaurants of Baguio. The food were all well chosen and prepared. Nakaka proud ito.
