BEST MEDITERRANEAN FOOD IN BAGUIO CITY!

Starting with the owners, they are such lovely people and they welcome you with the nicest hospitality and amazing complimentary tea. All of the food is so delicious! The flavors and spices and aromas will take your breath away.

I am quite strict on my judgement of food, especially of food from other parts of the world. The chef of GDS Oriental Food House is from Syria, and he has been a professional international chef for more than 15 years. That should already give you some context on how good the food is.

My favorite food is the Chicken Biriyani! It is hands down the best in Baguio City. Also the shawarma is very good. If you're looking for something with seafood, then try his Fish Fillet, so delicious. The side orders like the Babaganoush or Hummus are high class and I haven't tasted anything similar in comparison, so delicious and full of flavor. And I must not forget the falafel, so delicious!

If you want to taste the best flavors, bold taste, rich herbs and seasonings, authentic savor, and authentic Syrian Style Mediterranean Food in Baguio City, then I would absolutely suggest GDS...

GDS is an authentic Syrian cuisine and I have learned about it by a food review I watched online. We ordered a take out shawarma platter which can be shared by several people. We loved the flavours but I loved the chicken shawarma more for someone who prefers beef shawarma. The hummus was really good with its nutty flavour combined with its fine texture. The hummus and the shawarma compliments each other which makes the dish more flavourful.

The owner was also accommodating and friendly. He even provided tea while the order was being prepared.

It's a good place to visit if you are into shawarma. Just make sure your expectations are different as this is different from the shawarma we are used to.

The only downside is, parking can be difficult as one or two cars may only fir infront the restaurant. The good thing is, it is just beside the road and is accessible by jeepneys going...

We have been to Baguio so many times already, but this is the BEST food experience I've had so far, hands down.

The food is so good it makes me angry 😤😂 kagigil!

The place is very unassuming, looking like an ordinary "foodhaus" or carinderia, but it serves authentic, middle eastern cuisine and it's a must-try if you want to eat legit falafels, shawarma, hummus, etc.

Another thing that makes me angry is I wanna try other dishes, but I'm already full so I will definitely come back here. This will be part of our Baguio tradition, to eat here every time we go up. ❤️

From the complimentary tea, fatoush salad, hummus, and 3 shawarmas (I needed another one)--excellent! 💯
