KaVe — Restaurant in Cagayan de Oro

We were invited here for dinner on a Friday night. We dined from 6 to 8:30pm. We were a group of 5. Bigger groups started arriving for the seafood buffet around 7 PM.

Since we have seafood allergies (shrimp and crabs), our food choices were very limited because almost every other dish has shrimp on it, even the potato salad and fried rice. Though there is an option to choose raw cuts of fish and have them cooked any way you like.

Among the choices, we loved the bangus with mango salsa, squid tempura, and bread spread (you can heat the rolls and buns as much as you like) best. 😍😍😍😍😍

As for the dessert, there were kakanin, create your own halo-halo with sorbetes, cake squares, cookies , and parfaits. They were presented neatly. We just couldn't take their level of sweetness.

It wasn't just the dessert that were sweet. The sauces for dishes with noodles were unnecessarily sweet as well. It seems that the palate or "panlasa" of whoever was/were responsible for the dishes that night leaned towards sweetness.

On the other hand, the choices for the drinks were orange juice, pineapple juice, brewed coffee, and tea (Lipton).

If you ❤️ shrimp 🍤 and crabs 🦀, and if you do not have seafood allergies, then this is the buffet for you.

A first rate "luxury" fine dining restaurant within luxe hotel. It has a large vareity of food of different themes - filipino, western, and oriental (eg. Chinese and japanese) arrayed from appetizers, to soup, main course, and desserts. Every week like friday and saturday and some holidays like valentines and chrismas they would even serve eat all you can buffet with occasional live music (vocal or piano may be available at times). Breakfast is also served here though its in an eat-all-you-can basis daily. Price of food vary depending on your appetite but expect to spend 600+ for a modest short order but during special occasion eat all you can, it will cost 1000+ pesos per person per entry. It may be costly but given the large number of food you can choose from it was worth for me. I would commend the services here. They are the most hardworking and most attentive I have witness. The staff would even keep an eye on the guest that a simple stare or head movement from the guest is enough for the staff to provide appropriate actions (like serving water) without being called. KaVe Restaurant Bar in Limketkai Luxe Hotel located in Cagayan De Oro. We've been here last Friday and I could say that it satisfy my cravings. The price is just right. I recommend visiting the place every Friday, Saturday and Sunday so you could enjoy their buffet meals. Such a nice restaurant wherein you could enjoy your choice of food.There are separate stalls of heavy meal foods, meats, breads, fruits, vegetables and delicacies wherein you could choose what you want to eat. The place is clean and the ambiance matches the dim lights, perfect for family and couple dating. The crew are attentive and they have a good aura in serving the guest.
