Dates and Room of Stay: April 6-9, 2024; SUPERIOR ROOM, 4** April 13-16, 2024; SUPERIOR ROOM 3**
BOOKING Booked through the Agoda app. The hotel was able to answer my inquiries via the Agoda app and e-mail.
LOCATION & PARKING Location is very convenient just beside the Limketkai Center and near the Robinsons Supermarket. Hotel has parking spaces along and in front of the hotel. If shade is needed, the Robinsons Supermarket parking area offers parking for 200 PHP overnight(?) or for 24 hours, I am not sure.
ROOM The rooms upon entrance has the bathroom on the right side and the tiny "walk-in" storage/dresser on the left which has sliding doors. They have hangers with clip provided. And there's a 2-level shelf inside. Then moving forward, a full length mirror beside the bathroom door, then opposite it is a countertop(?) with a small fridge below it. An electric kettle, 2 drinking glasses, 2 coffee drinking set, 2 sachets of instant coffee, and two 350mL water bottles were provided.
We got an extra bed for one night only, costs 800php. To be paid upon check out.
Power sockets on (1)the study/table area, (2,3)bedside tables, and (4)countertop area. Their TV has a lot of channels. There is a locked window, which is what I love about rooms! Since natural light is better over the room's warm, dim lights. There is a big desk/table with a large mirror on the wall. The room was provided with a bible.
In the bathroom, there is no bidet. But a tabo/water dipper is provided. Since the showerhead is over the bathtub, an anti-slip grip mat is provided. Hot, warm, cold showers were available. Tiny soaps and shampoo bottles were provided.
Our room for the first booking was nearly perfect! I loved staying in it. It felt new and fresh. We had no issues!
Unfortunately, the room for our 2nd booking was disappointing. The sink drains slowly. Water tends to pool on the sink countertop. There were ants in the room, we called housekeeping and they sprayed it with an insecticide. And the WiFi keeps disconnecting during the 2nd booking! We had to switch to our mobile data.
FOOD The hotel has a bar, cafe, and restaurant inside. Unfortunately, we didn't avail its services. Our booking comes with a free breakfast - a breakfast buffet from 6AM to 10AM. Breakfast is the usual food Filipinos have - rice, bacon, scrambled egg, veggies, chicken, cucumber-tomato salad, brownies, pancakes, some fruits, juices, coffee (these are the only ones I can remember). Since we were staying during Ramadan on the first week, we were given the choice of having chicken and tuna sandwiches for early breakfast/Suhoor, delivered to our room around 4AM.
STAFF Everyone was very welcoming! The guard and bellboy assisted us with our baggages, then the bellboy lead us to our room after checking in at the reception and getting the keycard. Everytime we pass by a staff in the hallways, they greet us with "Mabuhay!" which was very interesting. The staff was...
Read moreThe location is just a walking distance to Robinson’s and Limketkai shopping center. The elevator guys, security and bellman were very courteous and helpful. I like that Cafe Laguna is just next to the hotel. I enjoyed the spa on the 2nd floor. They were able to accomodate us late at night. The hotel is old and the room has a musty smell. The bed is too hard and the sheets look cheap. There was enough towels in the bathroom but they look tattered and very stiff. They charge you extra fees if you ask for additional towels. The front desk is friendly and courteous but does not appear to know some of the hotel practice. Ex: Receptionist said wifi is only limited to 2 devices and the password was only good for 3 days. I was checked in for 11 days. I was told that I have to come down to get another wifi password after 3 days???? When I used the wifi on the first night, only one device can log in. I went down to get another password. This time, front desk said I can use it with multiple devices and was given a different password. The receptionist on the 7th floor (where the breakfast bar was) had us sign in before we can go inside. However, I noticed a couple (who rudely cut in front of us ) said their room number and just went in. The next time I went there, I did the same ...not cut in front but just said the room number and went inside. Also, this receptionist needs a little in service on being professional. I mean, she had her shoes off and one leg resting on a chair. It’s so unprofessional and not a welcoming site. The breakfast bar is well below average. I cannot understand why they are serving fried chicken and pansit for breakfast. Where’s the ham, bacon, soriso or longanisa? I noticed that this is the trend in most of the hotels. I get that it is themed more for brunch and not breakfast. Overall, I think it is worth the price I paid for the room. The price is cheap ($35/day) thus the room and...
Read moreAvoid this hotel. Online price and room availability are not honored and they lie to you on the phone to get you in then charge you extra. The rooms are old and dated (loose electrical plugs you can't use and no vent fan or electrical plugs in the CR). The noisy aircon on max couldn't keep room cool even though we left our key in the room so it could be left on (might be from the gaps around the aircon unit letting warm air and spiders in). There was a very slow long line at front desk for check-in and if you need assistance like getting into your room because your partner has the - I waited 10+ minutes twice and both times a bellboy helped me before I was able to speak to front desk), they refused to give more than 1 room key even though we are 2 guests, bellboys expect tips when they help you (they are profiting on the hotels shortcomings). We left a crummy hotel for and paid double the price but got lousy abominations and terrible customer service (unless you're willing to pay extra for it in the form of tips). Update the day: had breakfast around 8:45am, everything tasted fake and not worth finishing the small portions I placed on my plate to sample. The "juice" offering was Tang, not real juice. Upon returning to our room from breakfast (maybe 9:15 am), our key card had been disabled. Went to front desk (no line this time so I didn't have to tip anyone!!!!) and as she was reprogramming the key, instead of an apology we got asked what time we will be checking out. Checkout is clearly labeled/marked/posted as 12pm noon so we said 12 and she handed us the reprogrammed key. Worst service and/or policies I've experienced in a hotel. Edit again after taking a shower around 10:45 in the morning: no hot water like there was last night, but at least it wasn't cold. Update at checkout: again, super slow just standing in...
