Countryside Steakhouse — Restaurant in Cagayan de Oro

We had our lunch earlier today and finished around 2 PM. While the food was fine as most of us ordered the USDA Angus beef, but the experience was disappointing due to the service. As we were still eating, the staff handed us the bill without us asking for it, and shortly after, they turned off the lights and air conditioning. This made the atmosphere uncomfortable and gave us the impression that we were being rushed out.

We felt treated unfairly and had no choice but to quickly settle the bill and leave, as the place became uncomfortably humid. With great food (steak mostly) and old west theme decor and american country music in the atmosphere this brings me the feel of what is as close to be an american restaurant in western US. It serve a full course of salad starters, soup, a main course of your choice and an option of desert. I like it better since the restaurant had good serving staff and its western theme table setting and dinnerware improve its feel. Quite honestly the worst service and food I’ve had in the Philippines. After waiting forty minutes for our order…and as other tables who arrived later than us were already eating….I complained and told the waiter if the food didn’t arrive soon I would walk out. When it finally arrived it was not all together and one meal was delivered 15 minutes after another.
