Emerald Suites CDO — Hotel in Cagayan de Oro

Absolutely great stay!

My wife and I were here for 4 days in CDO for a conference and our stay here was awesome. These are my comments:

The place is clean. I think they routinely clean the hallways and lobbies at least twice a day coz I keep seeing their janitorial staff twice a day

The rooms are comfortable. They have the basics although you can’t expect five-star quality of course.

The room CR is great. The showers are heated and the toilets are squeaky clean. I think they invested in the CRs more than the room itself.

The staff are excellent and professional! This is the best part of the hotel. Not once did I feel apprehensive in approaching any of their staff. They really make you feel like you are in a top-class hotel. Super bait and respectful nila from the guards, the janitors, the food servers, and especially the front desk staff, all will smile and tell you “good morning/afternoon/evening”. Legit, not even making this up!

Kudos to their guards. I brought my car here and like all the other reviews, there are only 3 parking slots. Fortunately I got one. The next morning, I saw the side mirrors of my car folded (I forgot to do this kasi I was so tired from a 10hour drive). I felt then that the guards are looking after their guests’ cars. Nakakatuwa.

Other reviews pointed out that there’s no elevators. Totoo. But for me and my wife, we’re fine with it, I guess kasi we’re still in our 30s 😅

Overall, the hotel in terms of facilities aren’t at par with top class hotels syempre, but they definitely make up for it in their staff. If I were the management, I’d give all the staff a pay raise. Pang 4-5 star hotel ang service nila 😇

If you don’t have a car and don’t mind the stairs, super sulit dito! Definitely will stay here the next...

Emerald Suites is strategically located since it is between SM Downtown and Ayala Centrio. Gaisano is across Centrio. Limketkai is beside SM. Walking distance. ||||(Best to walk than ride a taxi/jeep because of the traffic. Or, one can ride sikad or motorela.)||||||Staff. Very nice. Polite. Accommodating. Helpful. Though had a little trouble when I asked for directions to a certain place. Or maybe also my fault for not being clear. Overall, the service is excellent. ||||Wifi. Every floor has a connection though the signal is weak when inside the room. For the last 2 nights, had difficulty in connecting to the wifi. Need to go out. ||||Room. Spacious. Have hangers. Have hot and cold shower. Large bed. A/C is working well. TV is nice. Thin sheets. Better to bring socks next time. Unless travelling with someone. :)||||No elevator so just treat walking up/down the stairs as an exercise. ||||Breakfast. Delicious. Everyday, different menu. Fast service. Nice staff. Place is cozy too. ||||There is an eatery outside and again, malls are just walking distance. ||||Shuttle to airport. Just inform the staff and they will arrange it for you. Fee is Php 199. Service is LAX Shuttle. (Regular fare is PHP 180 if you commute.)||||They allowed me to leave my luggage since I arrived early and have to go to the seminar. Stayed here for one week and here's my satisfied customer review! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 ✏ Very friendly, accomodating and approachable staff. ✏Clean rooms, good airconditioning system. ✏Can request iron and lampshade upon request. ✏Affordable room rates/price. ✏Free Breakfast and the cafeteria staffs are very accomodating. ✏24 hours security and CCTV System. ✏Near SM Downtonwn Premier and Centrio Ayala Malls ✏Various Carenderia, Sari-sari stores and Grills outside the hotel, just a walk away. Also near convenience stores and bars. ✏Near Laundry Shops. ✏Available transport Services going to Airport.

Problem: 🖍No Elevator, the Front Desk is in the 2nd Floor and the rooms are in the 3rd and 4th floor. 🖍The wall is thin, overheard some couples having intimate moments.

Still a 5 star for me!!
