Eeeh, for its price point, the mandated restriction on the number of diners inside the store, and the fact that the place only had like three tables occupied, you expect servers to be assigned one to one at each table. What I experienced was it took me five minutes to get anyone's attention -- somehow everyone seemed to be hunkered down at the cash register or writing a log or something -- and I had to RAISE MY VOICE like I was challenging someone to a fist fight before a server took notice from across a mostly desolate dining area. This was both for when I was ordering as well as billing out. The lasagna that I ordered for 250 pesos was small and could be bought for 70 pesos at a 7-Eleven, and my wait for it to get to my table was a lot longer than it took for me to eat it. Which is odd because the dish was warmer around the edges than it was at the center, indicating that it wasn't freshly cooked, it was microwaved out of the freezer.
I had just come from another restaurant that day, meeting up with a friend. That much humbler restaurant had only one person doing the serving, running the bar, doing the cash register, and switching the songs on their smart TV. Yet our meals -- we ordered 4 dishes and bucket of beer -- were prompt and the dishes were freshly deep fried and sizzling. Servings were huge.
Shakey's seriously need to step up their game. Customers are just paying for brand novelty at this point. And even then there are better...
Read morePlace is conveniently located at the corner of B. Serrano St and EDSA. It has a small bar, and an enclosed space to hold private events, aside from the dedicated space for dining customers. Food is good, but the service is very disappointing . I have been waving my hand in the air for a good 2 to 3 minutes for a wait staff to get our order. Same thing happens when you try to get the tab. And when you finally get it, they just hand it to you and leave. So, you need to summon all your patience in calling them again.
We had a lot of food left (almost a whole hawaiian pizza, half pepperoni pizzas, carbonara, rice and 4 pieces chicken) and had them wrapped for take out. Out of trust, we did not check what was in the bag. When we got home, we found out that they did not pack everything. We only had a few slices of pizza and the carbonara.
I have been to a lot of Shakey's outlets but this by far, is the worst experience ever. I would not recommend this place to anybody. I wouldn't mind taking the extra effort to go to another branch. I am never going back to this...
Read moreWe have dined here a few times before, pre pandemic.
I thought it was closed now, but the façade is just being renovated hence covered with Manila paper.
Dining area is also a bit dusty.
There are also welding noise that I hope they diffused with music as it gives me a headache.
They do not have a guard to open the door.
Anyway their bunch of lunch is not printed on the menu hence we have to look for it online because we would not remember what the waiter is dictating.
Female toilet out of service (use male's).
Very long serving time.
Salad last to be served!!! They gave iced tea then after a while the meal but no salad. So we followed up and server apologized. Seems it was forgotten.
Not sure if they have vegan or plantbased options, did not notice on the menu booklet.
Spacious. Polite staff. Flavorful food that we come back for. With handwash area. With free wifi. With service water. They sing (and I think, give gift of ice cream) for...
