Boosog — Restaurant in Cebu City

Visited here last Saturday lunch with family/relatives from Luzon. Had dined in the same location before and thought to bring them here because it's not crowded but found out there's a reason behind it. The food is average, nothing special on their menu. The service is awful; raising your hand won't get the staff's attention, you have to really call them out loud because they are always facing backwards. But the worse part is they served us our order with chunks of meat/pork despite specifically instructing the order taker to serve just all veggies. Every time I pass by this place, people I'm with tell me it's a great place to eat authentic Cebuano cuisine, so this time, I told them, this is where we should have lunch. I agree with the Cebuano cuisine part, but the experience would have been more enjoyable if they had air-conditioning or if we came for dinner instead. Food was okay, average at most. Boosog is best experienced with family or friends. Their Filipino cuisine is sure delicious—"Lasang Pinoy". I particularly like their sizzling squid and sinigang pork (although it needs more sourness). I have been here several times with my family and we all leave "boosog" (play on word busog, meaning full). The place is bright and clean.
