Authentic Japanese Place that closes late. From the interior to the food, definitely feels like Japan. Everything is so fresh too, the pricing is fair, worth it actually. Philippine style of sushi usually is a lot of rice on the sushi, but the the purpose of sushi is to taste the freshness of the fish not get full with the rice. At Yumeya, they use the right amount of rice as a layer instead as a main, so you get to enjoy the sushi!

Supposedly the owner is Japanese. I have never been to a Japanese restaurant where the owner begs for tips on the bill. The food is average at best. The rice is not Japanese style. It falls apart when you try to pick it up with chopsticks. Overall, for the Philippines, it is on the expensive side. The food would be considered poor outside of the Philippines. My first and last time here. My recommendation... skip this place.

We only ordered a bento and udon for our first time. They did not disappoint. Plus we came out very full. Food - so warm and welcoming Staff - smiling and courteous Price - fair Interior - dim, quiet, japanese Thank you so much! Update: We already came here for a couple times now. My current favorites are Tempura Soba, Yaki Gyoza and their Unagi. I have yet to try more of their dishes. Everything is so worth it. 👌

So bad.

Food (overall 1/5 stars for bad taste and poor quality) - maybe the chef was not in a good mood and just wanted to find out if anyone (like us) will complain how bad it was

Miso Ramen (1/5 stars for bad taste and poor quality) - for 420 pesos of one teaspoon of ground meat, instant ramen pack noodles, and chili sprinkled soup (that did not taste like miso at all) this is something to avoid ordering

Shoyu Ramen (1/5 stars for bad taste and poor quality) - same price as the miso ramen, same instant ramen noodles used, the soup base was just cheap camel soysauce, and the meat was only two super tiny slices of pork meat (not sure what part cuz it was not perfect)

Genzi Bento (1/5 stars because this is not good for birthdays) - I call this the baby bento because it was like tiny food in four dividers for one little baby to eat, I can't believe they charged like 850 pesos for this. It had two slices of eel sushi, small green soba noodles, and a few pieces of tempura

Tofu w/ Egg w/ Soysauce (1/5 stars because you can live without eating this) - this was just tofu covered in egg and with soysauce dip....sorry, but no

Service (overall 1/5 stars because of bad/ slow release of food for small portions and poor quality of food) - the waiting was so bad for food that was so small and had no quality to it (like an hour or so). The waitresses will just keep looking at you (as the customer), but they don't know how to provide service that understands the customers needs

Atmosphere - I can see why this place is empty now

The Birthday Girl spent over 4000 pesos on this ridiculously sad meal.

Recommendation: Go to Nonki and...

The WORST food we got in Philippines so far! We know everything takes time in Philippines and yet we didn't expect that it would take 1 hour and 30 minutes to get our food and when it finally came on the table the staff had completely changed their initial friendly attitude to a rude one. And that wasn't the worst... We were told that they didn't have the beef we wanted but instead they had a better one that it was ONLY a little bit more expensive (in fact, they didn't have half of the menu available) so we went for it. But when we got the bill, we had to pay almost the double and it was literally the worst meat we ever had (overcooked, too salty and not tasty for "ONLY" 1.300 pesos). Actually, the total price was 44€ for two plates and a couple of drinks (a lot of money for a filipino dinner). We do not mind to pay this when it comes to good food as in Europe we already pay that (or even less!). But that was for sure not worth the price! Actually, it doesn't have to do anything with japanese food and most of it was already cold and it didn't fullfill us enough, so after we had to go to Burger King cause we were still hungry. Definetely it has been the worst quality-price meal we had in the entire...

These jokers took 45 minutes to make my order after I told them I was sick and in a rush to get home. After telling me it’ll only take ten to fifteen minutes to make my order, they failed to even inform me of what’s happening with my order, bring me some water or soup whilst waiting, or even compensate me in any way - no drink, dessert or discount? Not with these crooks!. Worst bit is that they even failed to apologise for their shambolic service. The part that annoyed me the kidt? The restaurant was empty! Makes you wonder what on Earth they are doing in...
