Personally, they have the BEST craft beer I have ever had in Cebu City. The ambiance is amazing, the staff are entertaining and heck, they even got really good food! I usually come here with a friend to have a drink and we would just get lost and forget the time from enjoying our drinks. Sometimes I do go alone to have a drink for myself (because sometimes when traffic is so bad while I head home I instead come here to wait for the traffic to cool down a bit) and I honestly still do enjoy. The bartender is very entertaining and he is always loaded with a lot of jokes and things to say. Never a dull night drinking in Turning Wheels.

Pricing is reasonable but not cheap. After all it is not your regular local bottled beer you find in super markets or convenience stores. It is high quality craft beer and take into account the ingredients, craft and experience brewing these masterpieces.

The parking can be a problem. You see, the area is not fully developed and I am not sure if they plan to clear the parking lot, but it is just dirt and lots of tall grass. There is not much light in the parking area so you ought to be careful when you park and move. If you are not familiar with the place you might also miss and pass by it like I did the first time. It is also not very bright around the gate entrance so when you use a GPS tracker you should slow down when you are close to the place.

Overall, this place is just awesome. I recommend you bring friends who has the...

BLUF: excellently crated brews, with adequate serving staff with limited knowledge of beer.

NOTES: The brewery and kitchen are managed separately. “Sal’s Bistro” is the mini-kitchen.

PRO: There are few craft breweries in the Philippines … most are glorified home breweries. Turning Wheel creates Labor-of-love well crafted full mash beers (no small feat in the Philippines to import malted barley grains in large enough quantities to support a significant craft brewery). Staff is efficient, friendly, and reasonably accommodating.

CON: Only counter service, outdoor bar/dining (has its moments). Bar staff have little knowledge of what is in the beers. A cheat-sheet for the bar-tap-tenders would be helpful, even if it was just handed to the...

A place you must visit when in Cebu city if you enjoy the pleasure of drinking a proper brewed beer. Tucked away on a side street about 10 minutes from the North bus terminal. They have a great selection of brewed draught and bottled real ales, and you can try a sample of each before you choose. I tried quite a few and all are excellent. A nice change from the tastless San Miguel, but be warned these beers are strong!Food is also available here to go with the tasty beers. This place is fast growing in popularity and is always quite busy, a great atmosphere here at night. More and more locals and foreigners discovering the experience of drinking real beer! Lots of parking and highly recommended, give it a visit you will not be...

If you enjoy a quality craft beer, this is a place you need to go while in Cebu City. I highly recommend the sampler which has a great variety of delicious beers and is a good value IMO. They also have the fastest wifi I've seen in the Philippines so it's a perfect place to get some work done or just relax and surf the web while sipping on a delicious beer. The kitchen was closed when I was there but the menu looked interesting with reasonable prices. Turning Wheels is easy to find and just a short walk from Ayala Center. The staff were helpful and friendly and Michael the owner was interesting to chat with and gave some tips for places to visit nearby and Bohol. Also need to mention Buddy and Popper who are the cutest mascots ever.
