Yakski — Restaurant in Cebu City

I would’ve rated this higher if it wasn’t for their apparently ‘hidden’ rule that no photos or videos are allowed.

The foods taste great. The space is quite big. A bit pricey but not too expensive. Everything could’ve been really good with this restaurant until one of the staff noticed me taking pictures of the surroundings and told me that doing so was not allowed, with their quite silly reasoning of this restaurant ‘getting a complaint or bad review’.

I’m quite sorry, but likewise not sorry. They were ‘worried’ that I was going to give them a bad review, and unfortunately, I did give them not really a bad review, but a not-so-good review either. Not because of the food (again, the food tastes really great, the ‘timpla’ of the sauces are on point and all), but because no photos or videos are allowed. I can't believe how this place got 4.5 stars. I went there hoping to have some nice BBQ but it just did not happen. We got two chicken legs and 2 breasts and they were all dried up and overcooked. There was plenty of charred skin that was too charred to be eaten. Besides being overcooked the meat wasn't tasty and was clearly past its prime. The place had nothing else except chicken and pork belly. No veggies of any kind. Only some rice. A huge place with just a 1.5m glass covered food display. We Filipinos love ❤️ BBQs right! Well, well, well Yakski should be one of your go to places for BBQs! They serve chicken and pork and some others hot off the grill! The location is good and the place is nice too. Though open air but good for dining and eating your fave BBQ! They've got big tables and long ones too! Easy access if you are located or within Cebu I.T. Park. You've got nice views! Close to other restaurant and bars! The taste is good 👍🏻👌🏻meats are cooked right! And they're sauce!
