me and family dined here about two times already and weâve really loved the food and service so i recommended this restaurant yesterday to a friend who was celebrating her birthday.
it was about 8:30 when weâve arrived. we sat on our table and the server attended to us. we asked what time will they be closing, she answered 9:30. thatâs fine with us since we are in a hurry too to get home especially it was raining hard and weâre far from north side of the city. she took our orders and we noticed she havenât confirmed or repeated our order but we didnât overthink since I trust this place and the service has been always great.
After few minutes, no longer than 15, they served my friendâs order. you know, server just put it on the table and said nothing like the order is complete or do we need something else like they always ask/do before. I keep on waiting for my order for the next more or less 10 minutes and I started to get worried so we asked them and we weâre notified that the server who took our order havenât listed it. I was disappointed but I just said okay. And me and my friend just share her food.. it wasnt enough for the both of us. but we ended up not finishing all of it because we lost our appetite because of what happened. That really sucks. I cannot explain how badly I felt. It was already late, we dont want the staffs to do more work because maybe they wanna go home as early as they can too which is understandable. it was raining hard, i was hungry, i felt embarrassed to my friend because I recommended this place and I felt like I spoiled her special day. when we left, there are no good bye or thank you greetings like again, they always do. some look pissed off too. not all of them but some. which is new to me. everyone was very friendly and accommodating whenever im with my family especially with my white foreign father. we also noticed that they have 30% discount for wines up until 10 pm for the month of october. so maybe 9:30 is the last order but not the closing time. if thatâs so, the explaining needs to be improved.
the man who took our payment asked us how was our food, i jokingly told him that they didnt take my order so i cant tell. he explained politely that the server thought thats our only order. we told him things happen sometimes.
i dont know if this is just an isolated case. maybe the server is already tired from a long day of work and messed up the order.
no bias. food is still recommendable but service needs to...

Read moreLoved the place! Adored the food even more! You see, I love Thailand - been there almost 10x and twice I stayed for 1 month. Sadly, there are no good Thai offerings in Davao. Well, that is no longer true! This place is owned by a Thai lady and her Swedish husband and they both oversee the cooking and are actively involved in the kitchen. Needless to say, this is the first legit Thai place in Davao City! Pad Thai (w/c I ordered out) was really good and the serving was good for 2 people. Laab Moo Tod (Fried Ground Pork Balls) was good and tastes just like my go-to street food in Bangkok. I hope they'd have pork skewers soon. Khao Soi, a traditional northern Thai noodle dish, was also savory which my friend who stayed in Bangkok for 9 years said tasted authentic (I haven't had it before). Khao Niyao Mamuang (Mango Sticky Rice) was to die for! I even took a pic of the white sauce they made because it tasted just like my favorite go-to mango sticky rice stall in CentralWorld in Bangkok. Their Thai Iced Tea, for sure, uses legit Cha Tra Mue which is Thailand's oldest tea brand - I'd recognize that taste anytime. My friend and I will definitely be back to order the rest of the Thai menu: Tom Yum and Phad Kra Pao and maybe order the Swedish offerings too (they have steaks and burgers and meatballs!). Definitely worth...
