I've eaten at Dani's Palace around 4-5 times at this point. Almost every time, the place isn't very crowded, and there always seem to be vacant seats around the time I go, which should be around 7-8 PM.
The place is rather small. The tables are a little flimsy, but this doesn't get in the way of the dining experience. The arrangement of the chairs seems too close to each other. If the place were packed, I would imagine that it would be difficult to move around.
There seems to be only one server (at least, at the times I go). He's a mild-mannered, smiley gentleman who is fairly kind and welcoming (from what I can tell). He does his job well: gets orders, refills water, and fulfills requests in a punctual manner.
The overall atmosphere of the place is coherent, obviously presenting the Middle Eastern theme that they are trying to achieve. The predominantly brown and orange color scheme is appropriately supplemented by Middle Eastern-esque ornaments and furniture, giving way to an overall consonant aesthetic experience. When the place is empty, however, the window peering into the kitchen stationed at the back-center of the restaurant can be a little awkward, particularly when it feels like the kitchen staff don't really have much to do and have a clear vantage point to look at you. That is not a big deal, however (and I'm often there rather late on weekdays, so perhaps they were just bored).
Finally, the food is amazing. Their beef shawarma is a far cry from the overly commercialized, generic ones you get from the all-too-common stalls you would find at random parks and malls. With generous portions of beef slices, high quality pita bread (that isn't sticky and rubbery), actually discernible rich seasoning, perfectly balanced and appropriate vegetables and fries (none of that weird and out of place lettuce and tomato salad), and authentic sauces (not the weird sweet ones; but the legit garlic sauce, hot sauce, and I think even some sauce inside?), this is perhaps one of the best (if not THE best) shawarma you could get here in Davao. Each bite is a perfect balance of each of its components, and (something most shawarma places overlook), the pita is wrapped in a way that it doesn't fall apart at the first bite. Obvious thought and particularity were placed into the creation of their shawarma, and it oozes in every aspect of it. Amazing!
Their beef shawarma overload (my regular order) is priced around PHP 300, which may seem steep for a regular shawarma. However, one order of this already stands as a full meal and can get you through your lunch or dinner just fine. You get exactly what you paid for, satisfying both hunger and taste buds.
Highly recommended for anyone who claims that they...

The grilled chicken biryani, mixed salad, d-mix grilled, chicken/beef shawarma, kofta/kebab are just delish….. Even the coleslaw was really something (if you never were a fan to begin with)….Serving time is normally 20 minutes (for take out too)…..Small but clean area… Kind staff…Best time to be here is before and after lunch time to get a decent parking spot and table. Suitable place to bring an out-of-town friend. GCash is the best...
